It has been on my heart for some time that there is not enough being done to reach out to others....the lost, the hurting, the cold, the homeless, the people of this world that have fallen through the cracks and left forgotten.

I am asking everyone to reach out to someone today. Be an example thru deed and Word, of God's love. Many people need more than to hear about God...they need to see an example of Him in you.

Maybe it is the elderly widow who has a hard time getting her trash to the curb. Why not take that as an open door to not only do it for her, but at the same time tell her "God loves you."

The homeless man that everyone passes by as if he is not there..why not a mug of hot coffee, a blanket and a sandwich..it may be the only thing he has eaten on days. It is also an opportunity to tell him that God loves him and then lead you to plant the seed into a soul that otherwise is forgotten.

The cashier who rings and bags your purchases, works all the overtime she can get to feed the babies she has at home, and is always weary from a hard day on her feet, but goes home to be mama. She struggles to put food on the table and to make ends meet. Why not just a smile as she hands you your bag of food, a thank you from your heart, and to tell her that you thank God for her.

The salvation army bell ringer, who stands in the cold outside your store. It's cold, they stand there invisible for 8 hours. Why not be the one to stop, say hello, give him/her a cup of hot cocoa and tell them that God loves him/her.

There are more examples of how we can spread the love of Christ than there is room on this board.

Every day there is a door open, another opprotunity to talk to someone about God. Be a fisher of men. Do not pass another open door, because you don't know what to say, don't "have time", so on. Be the hand of God, extended to the world. You want to be blessed? Wait until you see the smile on the face of someone you have reached out to. That's a blessing indeed.

It's time we as the Body, allow God to pull us out of our comfort zone....it's not enough that we are saved. What about everyone else?

Let your light shine to a dark world. Don't hide your light, taking for grantide that you'll do it "later", or that someone already has. No man knows what is on the morrow. That soul that you pass by, may be called home that very night. Even we have no guarantee of tomorrow.

My challenge to you is this:
Starting with right now, look for opportunities to reach out to others. Seek and ye shall find.

God bless you.

Amen to that. We all need to do more for people who are worse off then us. And Jesus was among people we would not thing of going to. Because Jesus came for sinners and not the righteous.
