Maybe you won't believe it but there is a prophet who says we put Jesus' blood to shame when we, as christians, are not rich and prosperous and have expensive cars and all that stuff.
What's next? This is word of faith at it's best....

This self-proclaimed prophet has some soul searching to do. Anyone can call themselves anything; it doesn't make it so.
The Word of God tells us to store our treasures in Heaven, not here where moth and dust doth corrupt and theives break thru and steal. Where our treasures are, there is where our heart is also.
I've walked out on many services where the leader preached a prosperity message (and little else). Alot of respect was given to those who had fancy homes, new expensive cars, and designer lables on their clothes.
Personally, I have everything I need and could want, materially speaking. A modest home to lay my head, clothes to keep my family warm, and food to nourish our bodies. God is good to us indeed. Everything extra is for showing off or helping others with. I prefer to help others. I am blessed abundantly over what I could ever have expected, by doing for someone else.
Things of this world? There are those who are convinced they need them. But no amount of money is going to buy someone a better place in line at the Heavenly gates. When we go before our Creator, all the toys, gizmos and gadgets will be left behind. We will stand naked before Him. Won't matter how much was in our wallet, BUT....what did we do for Him.
Amen!

I agree with you.
I mean having enough to eat and not having to care about money is good, but what about senseless luxury?
This prophet said that God is not a dummie, God knows that people react to money and this means that as soon as the christians become rich people will pay attention to them. He basically said that money is the lure for the world.....
He said that working only to be able to live and to earn money was wrong!
Does not everybody do this? Who works because it's so much fun?
He said that unless you work because of God it's wrong cause you work for the money and this means you're bound by the spirit of money or something like that.
To be free from it you have to totally trust in God and not your pay-check.
I'm so sick of this word of faith stuff. It's all the same. These preachers all preach exactly the same stuff as if they were clones as if they could not have an own opinion.
Tell me wether you're a word of faith guy and I tell you what you believe.....
This upsets me. I do not say that everything which word of faith christians believe in is wrong but parts of it are totally distorted.
