What to do?

My husband asked me to post a request for him. He was a youth leader in Boy Scouts (Scoutmaster) for a lot of years. He was a youth leader in 4H for many, many years. He was a youth leader in our church for just a short time until we lost our meeting place.
We've been members with a fellowship group for a few years and he's been trying to get licensed to preach. It is hard to do that without a church building. So he's been paying what is to us, a fairly large amount of money for an exhorter's license every year. He is called. He has heard God's voice in his ear (I witnessed this).
He's at a crossroads. We've been going nowhere, it seems. He doesn't know what to do. He feels called to help kids, and has been asked to take back the Scoutmastership of his old troop. He's District Commissioner right now (volunteer). But his hours with the refinery he works at are horrible. He works 12 hour shifts. He's off half of every month. (A very good deal on that!)
Anyway, he requests prayer for making good decisions. That he will choose the best way to go. If you feel like God is telling you something about him, we'd like you to share it with us. Thanks.

Father in the name of Jesus let Your will be known in these matters. Open up doors that need to be opened and close the doors that need to be shut. Give pickone and her husband grace to overcome any and all obstacles in their way. Let Your light shine in, on and around them in Jesus name. Fill them with Your spirit and let Your ways be known. Let them have Your wisdom, Your knowledge, Your peace, Your joy, Your love as they humbly seek Your will in their lives. In Jesus name we pray!

Dear Father in Heaven, I ask that You would unblock the way for this couple and this husband to be led to his divine calling and mission here upon the earth. I ask that you would enlighten their minds and fill their hearts with inspiriation and pure knowledge concerning the course they should take in their lives. I pray you would pour out a blessing upon them and open the way according to the righteous desires of their hearts that they may be led to all fulfillment of Thy mind and will in their lives. Prepare the way according to their needs, in Jesus Name I ask Amen.
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. Eph. 3:20-21

I thank you for your prayers. They are powerful.

He has been offered the Scoutmaster position of his old troop again at the First Christian Church, and also the Scoutmaster of the Mormon Church.
He spoke with his Scoutmaster mentor and this man told him that he also was offered to retake his position and he took it. Then he asked my husband if he ever thought he might be getting a little too old for something like that again, or would it be as good as it was the first time.
Well, this is a history lesson and we are considering it as that. I think he's leaning on a decision to remain a Scoutmaster's Scoutmaster, since he loves all the troops, leaders & boys both. Also, he gets to put his feet up more, ha!
Seriously, we keep checking this post to see if anything new has been added. He really wants to preach, I think. Is this a door that is closing for him? I mean, since the other doors are opening?

Perhaps the preaching IS in the future, but God keeps putting him with the Scouts because that is where the door will be opened. Perhaps through the Scouts, he will meet someone who will help him.
Dear God,
Please shine a light for our friend pickone's husband. Please give him a sign as to what path You would like him to choose. Please send an angel to guide him and to lead the way. Thank You,
Sharyn
PS: I think your husband working with the Scouts is AWESOME!

Sharyn, thank you so much for your post. My husband is sitting right next to me and we really felt uplifted with your words (or God's words through you!).

Lord, I thank you for this man and his years of service.
I ask you to lead and guide and direct him. Please show him the way that he should go.
In Jesus' Name, Amen.
My question for you would be who is your mentor? Who do you serve under? Who provides your covering? No one should just jump in on their own. If he is called to preach then he needs to serve an apprenticeship and learn the ropes. It isn't like anything else you have done. Look around and see if God has put a leader in your path that could train you and prepare you.
I think these doors opening is just a distraction. Stay tuned in to your calling.

After our marriage, the Holy Spirit filled my husband when he began to really seek him. The Spirit directed him to an old friend that he went to school with and that he knew was a preacher.
The name of the church is End Time Outreach. The pastorship through the couple there and my husband's exhorter's license is through FCF.
My husband directed the youth at End Time Outreach until the building was rented out. We didn't have many adults, and the kids came pouring in (not by our efforts, I will add that). They are all grown now, some are married. Kids don't make money, and these had less than many in our town. So, the building was under funded.
I've been in many church meetings, but have never experienced any like this one. This one was directed by God, because we didn't wiggle without Him. No two meetings were alike. No way could anyone be bored or fall asleep. The meetings belonged to God.
We simply began the meeting with praise and then waited until the Spirit met with each one of us - (well, the little bittiest ones didn't know the difference, He is always with them! They were given streamers so they could dance with the music! They were not there real often - they were the visiting grandchildren). When the worship was real, the meeting began. God was the One in control. He directed the speaker. He directed the content. The Word of God was read in every meeting. There might have been one or two meetings which were worship only.
You could just sit there in your chair and do nothing if you wanted to. God met us where we were. He was truly our Teacher.
One year we prayed about a campout on Spring Break for Passover. We wanted to experience what the real Passover was like. Boy! Just go ahead and ask God for something He wants to show you! The angels were around us that night (thank You, Jesus!), and so were the demons. At dawn on Easter morning the rest of the church (the adults) came. We will never forget.
Now, it wasn't until this was all about to be over that I bought and read a book about Azuzu Street. It just blew me away! This is real! Not only that, but the lady who lived next door to me, and whom I had been working for (she was a mentor to me) was led to Christ by Charles Parham of the original Azuza Street. She was put in a nursing home about a year ago. Her name is Melbia Moore. Her daddy was Cherokee, but she was raised by her grandparents. She will be 101 years old next month.
If it wasn't for her and her testimony, I would have wondered very strongly if this was really of God. God just had her in the right place at the right time, with the right words for me. The Spirit, through her, taught me about sanctification and made me curious and jealous for it. She took so many truths that I had "known" and trampled them in the dust. We did worship God together in her house. She told me about the persecution she had to endure being Spirit-filled.
I didn't mean to turn this into a book, but God is my favorite subject. There are so many more things I could tell you, but this really is a prayer site.
If your questions are about me, my covering is "God and my husband only" and in that order. I was led to God by God through His direction. The only Church we belong to right now is the one without walls. We've learned from Satan's school of hard knocks, and from God's school of gentle guidance. I've heard criticism about not meeting at a regular place, but that is the problem of the ones who judge. Not ours.
We don't have a license to preach from man, but in the Word of God, in the Book of Matthew, chapter 10 and verse 27 it says: What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops. We have both heard God's voice in our ears. Not through another man's mouth, but directly from His lips. The messages we received were short, but they were from God.
We have received mentoring materials also from FCF since the building was lost to all of us. I have learned a lot on this site from the people who pray, and we have learned about spiritual warfare directly from God and through his revelation to others.
My husband said last night, since he spoke with his Scouting mentor, that he will probably hang up the towel for Scouts altogether this year until he can retire from his job at the refinery. He would like to maybe run a scout campground someday. I told him not to give up on his dreams because even if he didn't delight himself in the Lord right now, I have, and I am a part of him. He can still receive the desires of his heart. (I think this is scriptural.)
We thank you all for your prayers.
**Note: End Time Outreach is a name thought up by my husband's pastors and they are the owners of the building. We (my husband and I) have since learned there was another End Time Outreach, but we don't know what they believed or anything about them yet.

Carol,
HUGS TO YOU, my sister and my friend; I am soooooooooo moved by what i read in your last post; i had to go sign off and pray for a bit.i am even goign to have my future husband read it. I will definitely be praying that you get breakthrough and answers that you need. I will be praying that GOD will grant both you and your husband, the discernment, wisdom, and fire of serving him that you will need to do whatever he calls you to do: whether or not it is to have a ministry of your own; or to serve him thru scouting. Either way, just remember to listen to GOD; Do not allow SATAN to plug your ears so what you hear is distorted to the desires of your own, and not something that is contrary to the WILL of the FATHER. I have so many things on my spirit for you right now but want to seek GOD first to make sure I am understanding what he wants to say; I would rather him be frustrated with me for asking for clarity then say something and mess it up and affect your spirits; I love you very much my dear sister and am sooooooooo thankful that you chose to share that with us; I am workign on my testimony of how GOD brought me to where I am at to share so be looking for it; (it's a mini novel so i have to do it in pieces each night.
There are sooooooo many things that GOD brought me through that I hope will encourage others to seek him and to seek the truth of light JESUS CHRIST can bring in the middle of the darkness.
GOD blesses each of us with our own trials and struggles(*wink, wink) so we may share them with others, to help them understand, learn and grow, and to teach them to understand and realize how GOD brought them to what they are going thru, what they have already been thru; to share with others; so many things on my heart right now to share with you; my heart is getting overloaded so is my spirit; can't even finish sentences; so i will end here and say: I AM AND WILL BE PRAYING FOR YOU!!! I LOVE YOU, MY AWESOME BLESSED SISTER IN CHRIST!!! STAND STRONG AND STAND FAST!!! I WILL POST MORE SOON AS GOD GIVES ME CLARITY FOR YOU BOTH; MY LOVE TO YOU AND YOURS.
P.s. SATAN: I REBUKE YOU IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST; I BIND ANY AND ALL PLOTS YOU HAVE AGAINST MY SISTER IN CHRIST; I CAST AND SEND BACK ANY CURSES PLACED UPON THEM TO THE HEAD(S) FROM WHICH THEY CAME; THEY ARE ANNOINTED AND PROTECTED BY THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST WHICH WAS SHED FOR THEM AT CALVARY. GOD WILL HAVE HIS LOVE AND HIS SPIRIT WITH THEM SO THEY MAY FIGHT YOU IN THE WAYS HE WOULD HAVE THEM FIGHT YOU. YOU HAVE NO DOMINION IN THEM, THEIR SPIRITS, THEIR LIVES, OR THEIR HOME. IN JESUS CHRIST. AMEN.

Julia, I know you've got God in you, so I'll be waiting! I love ya, too, sis!

Carol,
Here is the first part of the message I am give to you here, as instructed by our Heavenly Father; the remainder I am to give to you privately as there some things he does not wish others to see. I do not understand but am merely being obedient.
Carol,
My precious child, I thank you, my daughter for being a good and valiant servant, for being a loyal and committed to your husband thru all your struggles. I know it will be a stretch, but I want your husband to take the scoutmastership for the old troop; there will be ties there to renew and strengthen your future ministry which will unfold itself and I will reveal it to you there at the right and appropriate time.I would like you to remind your husband, that my children are never too old to teach, as long as they are serving me when doing so, and certainly never to old or young to learn what I have for them.
For you, I want you to continue being the faithful servant here as you have been, continue as you have to open up and share with those you have, I have a work for you here also, which will be unfolding, and eventually the areas you are both working in separately will be joined together so you may serve me jointly side by side. Be patient and listen to the guidance coming from those around you. I will send you answers in the most unlikely places so you must quiet the noise in your life so you can hear the still small voices, no matter where they may come from.
I want and need you both to be diligent and faithful, remain true and strong. Do not allow yourselves to become battle weary, remember to take breaks for yourselves when you need to, remember to keep your relationship with me renewed, and the ties that strengthen you to keep them strong. Remember to fellowship with those of like minds, so they may keep you strong at all times, even when you may not realize you are feeling weak. I will place you with people who will challenge you, but also help you in ways that you will not realize until later. I will also put you in situations to test your faith and loyalty to me. I will do these things to refine you both, but in the end, thru your dedication and steadfastness, I know you will make it thru. Hold fast and hold strong, and most importantly, remember to stay prayed up!!!
The rest of what I have to give you will be given you in privacy as there are sensitive issues to deal with and I do not wish some of that to be out in the open to allow Satan knowledge of anything he can use against you in this time. I cherish both of you; you have been truly dedicated and loyal children to me. Keep standing strong and doing as you have. I am happy with you both and will challenge you in this next year. I love you my children, and it is with a Father's pride that I gladly give you the ministries I am about to give you. Go in peace.
Father,
I hope and pray that I have given them the words you wanted me to give them with enough clarity that they would understand what they need to do. I pray that thru any and all words I have spoken to them in your behalf are glorifying and edifying to you. I thank you, for allowing me the privelege and honor to be a part of sharing in this time of their lives thru your words to them by using me as the messenger. I thank you for blessing their lives and ask you provide continued guidance and wisdom for them. In JESUS CHRIST. AMEN.

I am so sorry I forgot you all had written these things and I asked Jerry if he could remember what was said at some of his meetings. I guess when the time is right, we'll find out more.
I think he's changing his mind about some things, and he seems to be feeling pretty good about it, but he still has some more time I think.
He's deciding to quit Scouts, but he is still signed up until around the first half of February. He could change his mind again, but he threw away a bunch of stuff yesterday and got some stuff together to give back.
He says he wants to stay home and be a Grandpa. With God all things are possible.
Posted by: Rachel R
I continue to pray for you.
Cleaning out is a good thing. You can't sort your life without sorting your stuff.
Staying home and being a Grandpa is a high calling.
God bless you both today.
