Sacrifice of praise

Hebrews 13:15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
Ephesians 5:20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
I have been going through some trials and testing lately that I wouldn't want my worst enemy to go through. I called for prayer and the other person gasped at what I'm dealing with in my life. She said, but Jesus still deserves to be praised.
In my heart I thought yes, amen. Forgive me Lord for not worshiping you as I ought. Forgive me for focusing on my circumstances, and not on you. Like Peter did when he walked on the water. He moved his eyes off of the Lord, and onto those waves and the winds, he started to sink. That's what the enemy wants us to do, is to focus and worry and fear over the storms in our life. If we find ourselves there, all we have to do is turn our eyes off the waves, and back on Jesus, and call out, he will immediately save us.
Matthew 14:30-32 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me! And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.
In prayer is when we have our eyes on God. In prayer we stretch out our hand to the Lord. In prayer we will find the winds of the storms of life will begin to cease.
So be it Lord, all glory to you always, amen.

Heavenly Father, help us to always remember to praise You for everything You are, everything You do, and for Your love. Lord Jesus help us to thank You always for Your gifts, past present and future. To God be all glory, Amen

Thank you for such a sweet and gentle reminder. Yes, thank you God, for everything, because it is You that commands everything and You promise us that all will work for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose, because You foreknew us and destined us from the beginning to be molded into the image of Your Son. You foreordained us and called us, justified us and glorified us. And we remember that if God is for us, who can be against us? Thank you God, for everything.
