Army Chaplain in Iraq asks for prayer of protection during elections in Jan pray now

Army Chaplain request Prayer for his men.
We received the email below via Seamus. Chaplain (Captain) Lyle Shackleford asks for prayers for the transportation unit delivering voting machines and ballots throughout Iraq. Obviously, the transporters are high value targets to the insurgents...

As a transportation battalion, my unit will be delivering the voting machines and the ballots to villages and cities throughout Iraq during the upcoming elections. (January 30/31) Our convoys are prime targets for the insurgents because they do not want the equipment to arrive at the polling stations nor do they want the local Iraqi citizens to have the chance to vote; timely delivery must occur so that the elections occur.

Encourage your friends and family members and those within our churches to pray specifically for the electoral process. Historically, the previous totalitarian regime would not allow individual citizens to vote.

Democracy will not be realized in Iraq if intelligent and competent officials are not elected to those strategic leadership positions within the emerging government; freedom will not have an pportunity to ring throughout this country if the voting process fails. Announce this prayer! request to your contacts throughout your churches, neighborhoods, and places of business.

Those with leadership roles within the local church post this message in as many newsletters and bulletins as possible. There is unlimited potential for God's presence in this process but if we do not pray then our enemy will prevail (See Ephesians 6:10-17). A prayer vigil prior to the end of the month may be an innovative opportunity for those within your sphere of influence to pray.

This is a political battle that needs spiritual intervention. A powerful story about God's intervention in the lives of David's mighty men is recorded in 2 Samuel 23:8-33. David and his warriors were victorious because of God's intervention. We want to overcome those who would stand in the way of freedom. David's mighty men triumphed over incredible odds and stood their ground and were victorious over the enemies of Israel. (Iraqi insurgents' vs.! God's praying people). They don't stand a chance. I will pray with my soldiers before they leave on their convoys and move outside our installation gates here at Tallil.

My soldiers are at the nerve center of the logistic operation to deliver the voting machines and election ballots. They will be driving to and entering the arena of the enemy. This is not a game for them it is a historical mission that is extremely dangerous. No voting machines or ballots. No elections. Your prayer support and God's intervention are needed to give democracy a chance in this war torn country. Thank you for reading this e-mail. Please give this e-mail a wide dissemination.

Heavenly Father, please cast down blessings and protection to Iraqi Elections. Let the violence subside and let those officials working hard to bring democracy to this country prevail and successfully complete the election process without incident or hindrance. Watch over all involved and let peace come to the Middle East and Iraq. Please send angels to protect our armed forces and the people inIraq.

Lord, I speak peace over Iraq and safety for the troops and people of Iraq. Lord expose the terrorists and frame this election with Your peace and Your men and women in office. Lord stop the killing. Stop the murder. Stop the terrorists and the bedlam they create. remove the fear of the Iraqi people and allow the military to deliver the voting equipment and ballots to their destination without loss of life or attack. Protect them going in and protect them coming out. Bring peace to Iraq and elected officials of your choosing. In the Name of Jesus, AMEN!

Heavenly Father, we pray for victory in IRAQ! In victory we ask that it be your victory, your planned election. Lord, we pray that the person/s that you have chosen to rule in this land will be elected and all will accept them as the leaders.
Lord, we pray for those who go out to deliver the voting machines and the ballots. Father, I pray that the Iraqui people will rise up and demand freedom. Lord, let them to find you, for in you is the "real" freedom. Lord you give the freedom of choice, the freedom from fear, you give freedom of soul. Lord, be with each of these that deliver the means to have an election. Lord we call forth thousands of legions of angels to clear their way and be a shiel about them as they go about their jobs. Father, give them great wisdom to know when to move, how to move and where to move at ever path along their way. Lord Surround these people with the prayers of the saints, and the blood of Jesus. Wrap them in your love, and keep their eyes focused on you so they will know the time and the place to stand and fight and the time and the place to move forward to. Let all these who care about getting the message of freedom out, turn to you individually and corporately. Lord we speak Success to their mission. We call forth warriors to pray for them day and night without ceasing. Lord, set them free to do your will!
Lord, thank you for these who battle in strange lands so we do not have to battle here. We are intentionally honored to have them as our White Knights who are opening the doors of freedom. Father, move the world and draw all people to you. Father it is in the Name of Jesus I ask. Amen and Amne

Father, give each one of these men and women the Spirit of Corrie Tenboom as they move with the methods of deliverance for a people. Let their cargo be invisible. Let it pass right under their noses and let the 'lookers' be preoccupied with what they are doing or preoccupied with each other, and just pass them through without a second thought. Let the great big loads be the things they overlook the most, and let little things appear too insignificant to bother with.

Above all, let the troops be thankful, openly, to You for the hindrances they encounter along the way. Through these things You will deliver them if it pleases You. Let them apply Your Words in their prayers, like Corrie did. Let these men and women be able to look back and see all of the ways You helped them through their prayers which thanked You for everything (good things and bad things), since Your ways are not our ways.

Father, protect these soldiers and their leaders. Let them move diligently and efficiently, and let them have some wiggle room and fun, too. Let this time be 'a doorway made' that You will fill completely with Your Presence. Let Your Words be in the feet of these men and women, so they walk on a firm foundation at all times. Let Your Words come alive in their heads and let them speak them out loud when they feel like it, since that will be Your prompting, and let them keep quiet when they feel like it, for the same reason. Give them personal words to stand on, when it seems like things are going weird on them. Give them determination to hold onto those blessings of scripture they discover, and then let the blessings be realized quickly, so they will see how You operate in the physical world, as well as the spiritual.

Put walls of fire around them, like You do for their country, and protect them from evil. Let no weapon form against them. Let no idea of a weapon be formed against them. Allow them to do their job without hindrance or incident. Give their equipment perfect operation. Let their vehicles be in the right places at the right times, and not even have to manipulate things to get that to happen. Let it be a natural, regular occurance. If a delay is made, let it be by Your design, for their protection, and let the soldiers rejoice in Your care.

Let leaders be elected by the people that You want to be in office. People who will seek You diligently. Put plantings for new growth in every heart. Create a hunger and thirst in them for You and Your ways, and let them be satisfied with nothing less than what You have to offer them. Teach the people to pray for their leaders, so they will be guided by Your hand.

Also, Lord, capture the terrorists by their hearts and never let them go to do evil anymore. Give them victory over manipulation. Help them to learn to help themselves to learn more about You. Shower them with too many blessings, so they won't have time to commit evil. Let them tell You themselves when they've had enough.

Dear Father in Heaven, I ask that a mighty shield of protection surround and reign down on all those involved in this electorial process and those helping to promote the democratic way of life in Iraq. I also pray that any means to hamper or cause harm to any of the convoys be diverted and come to naught. I pray that a strong spirit of revival and freedom may prevail in Iraq in the minds and hearts of the people. I pray that our men and women would be guarded by the power of our prayers and the spirit be poured out upon them and the people of Iraq to bring them to the knowledge of Thy goodness and tender mercies to all those who turn to Thee and accept the Atoning Sacrifice of the Savior into their lives. I pray that the spirit of the gospel may take hold in this nation and the spirit of peace and brotherly love. I ask in Jesus Holy Name amen.

Father God, what an awesome prayer, so according to your Word and what we know of you. Lord, you are so beloved, and we thank you for giving Pickone these awesome words to speak forth. Lord, I agree and stand in alignment with Your Word and THIS Prayer. Father, I ask you to take this prayer and multiply it, compound it, increase it, and complete it. Father, we gather as one and proclaim your Words of Victory! Lord, thank you for those who seek you in every prayer they pray, and in all their lives. Lord, Please surround and protect, guide and bless Pickone and everyone else who stands in agreement for this massive and complete victory in Jesus! Lord, I pray for protection for these soldiers. I ask that they would safely deliver the voting machines. Lord, guide them when they don't even know they are being guided. Send angels to direct their steps away from danger. I pray that these elcetions will have a chance to take place. I pray that You will place Christian men in positions of influence in Iraq! I pray and ask it, in Jesus Name, amen.

Heavenly Father, please surround our troops and the people in Iraq with blessings and protection as we head into their elections this week. Please keep those who would do evil and harm away from the polling stations. Please let those who would give their lives in suicide bombings a second chance to think about the evil they would do and to repent. Pleas protect all who serve.

Father, protect and secure the US of A Troops and all the Troops of our allies! Protect and secure the contractors who have gone to Iraq to help rebuild the country. Lord this election has brought out some viscious spirits that are driving the terrorists. In the Name of Jesus I bind the spirits of rebellion, greed, cruelty, hate, murder, suicide and terror! I bind the strong man of Iraq and remand them over to You Jesus, please take them and deal with them according to Your Word! Lord build up an hedge of protection around the Troops and place the innocent and officials inside for their protection also. Become a strong tower for them to run to and surround them with a wall of Your Fire! Encamp angels around them and release those angels to fight for them and minister to them as need be. Lord place watchers on the walls of the tower to seek out the enemy and destroy him far off. Expose the plans of terror and hate to the light of truth and capture. Bring the terrorists to repentance and Salvation Lord! Bring ALL who need Jesus as Lord and Savior to Jesus for that purpose! In the Name of Jesus! AMEN!

Lord God, let the elections go forth! Let the votiing machines be delivered safely. I pray for NO loss of life! Surround these men and women as they travel with the voting machines. Keep loss of life to minimum EVERYWHERE in Iraq as the elections approach and take place. I ask that You would send protection around each and every person, even terrorists! It is my prayer that a huge group of terrorists is coming to repentence, is giving up their evil ways, and is giving You glory! I ask that You do what to us seems impossible. Change the hearts of the enemies of America!!! Lord God, send revival to the Iraqi troops that fight us. Thank You, Lord, for undertaking in all these matters. In Jesus Name, amen.
