Lord, I repent of not understanding the importance of praying for our leaders while they were in office. I am glad that You are leading me to pray for them now.
Thank You for President Carter and President Ford. I thank You for leading my husband to teach me that each President that comes into office has something very special that stands out above every other representative in our nation. As we were watching the History Channel, he was explaining to me the particular qualities of each man who was ever in office. (He loves history and loves details! I wish I had had him for my teacher in high school!) Thank You for teaching me through him and the television about their exceptional leadership qualities and about the different things they loved (like Carter's hard work for the successful release of 52 (?) hostages).
Lord, I pray that You will bless these two Presidents and their wives with good health. Magnify the beautiful things in their lives and let blessings abound in their children. I pray that they be allowed to know how much they are appreciated for doing the things they did, even though it looks like our Adversary won sometimes. Thank You for allowing a program on TV that was informative and enlightening.
We pray for walls of fire to surround each of our representatives families. We ask You to place them in Your high tower and protect them for eternity. In Jesus' Name we ask all of these things....Amen.
(Lord, I am sorry for sounding so hammy, but I am so grateful...thank You).

Father, in Jesus' Name we ask You to watch over these Presidents and keep them in Your heart. That they will be comforted and always feel Your peace when they reach out to You. Help everything their hands touch to prosper and keep them and their wives in the shelter of Your wings. Let them continue to enjoy the fruits of their labor their whole lives. In Jesus' Name we ask these things....Amen.

Father, we lift up Presidents Ford and Carter and their First Ladies to Your throne. Bring complete restoration to them in every way. Keep their bodies and minds healthy and protect them from illness and grief. Never let their eyes grow dim. Let their judgment always be sound and their way planned out by You. We ask You to cover them with Your wings and shower them and their family with blessings that only You can give. Help them to recognize Your hand in everything that has been good in their lives. In Jesus' Name we ask these things, and we give You all of our praise. Amen.
