I had posted before for my marriage and to pray for my husband. Things just got so much worse, I just got divorce papers in the mail
. I don't know what to do. I thought God wanted me to stand for my marriage, that he hates divorce! Why is this happening?

I will pray for you and I hope everyone on this board will pray for you and your difficult situation. God does not want us to get divorced and be unhappy.

When marriages go bad they start a lone time ago, like a cancer, it eats up the healthy parts.
God hate divorce, but he also hates sin too.
Ask him what does he want you to do now.
You need to fall in love with Jesus.
we are praying for you.

Father, I pray for full restoration to occur in this marriage. I pray for renewed communication that is positive and loving. I pray that they will remember the love that brought them to recite wedding vows before You. Heal and restore them Lord. If there are any sins or sins lifestyle that are causing them to be apart, I pray for full repentance and a complete turn around. Work mightily within this marriage, I pray. Amen

I'm sorry that you are huring so deeply, you will definitely be in my prayers. Divorce papers aren't the end all. Take it to the Lord in prayer. I mean you have to really submerge yourself in the Lord. Right now, He needs to be your comforter.
I always carry a notebook and I write down bible verses, I write prayers. I'm always looking for that little thing to keep my spirit lifted. My husband is not living at home right now, but I still feel empowered by the strength to endure, that I have gained from the Lord. He is definitely my rock and my salvation. I journal as well. I don't talk to people who are negative about my husband, because I don't need that in my life. I have chosen to walk a path and that is my decision. I stand strong on the promises of Christ my Saviour.
Do I have great days every day? No, but I am focused on the end result of my prayers and my vigilance. We sing this song at my church called "It's only a test". That is exactly what this is. Stand strong in your faith.
May the love of God keep and protect you.

Dear Wendy,
Put the Lord first in your life and you will feel him move in remarkable ways. Put this in the Lord's hands and trust him completely. Lean on him no matter what the outcome. He has a plan for your life. I will pray for you. He loves you so much!
Dear Father in Heaven, I ask that You pour out and manifest Your tender loving care over Wendy, that she may know You are there and bless her in this situation with all the help and inspiration she is in need of. Bless her spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically to be renewed in your strength. Give her insights and wisdom in dealing with this situation. I pray that you open up a channel of communication between her husband and her and soften their hearts towards one another. I pray that they will be touched with the power of forgiveness and humility and every good thing You see they stand in need of in their lives. I pray You nuture Your daughter and care for her as a loving Father to their child. I pray You lead her and direct her life and that she will know and feel that she is never alone. Let her feel of our prayers and love and concern for her, in Jesus Holy Name amen.

Dear Wendy,
Things will be fine! "For I know the thoughts I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart." (Jeremiah 29:11-13)
"And they overcame by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony..."
Just last weekend, my prayer partner had her husband stop by for the first time in 6 months! He had been in town (he lives in another state) to sign divorce papers. He originally stopped by their house to see his son, and my friend made herself scarce, so as not to drive him away. She reported that while he was there she had such peace, and even took a nap after reading her bible in her room. When she woke up it was to his knock on the door, and he wanted to see her and talk with her, so much so that he shut the door on their 15 year old's nose! Her gentle and quiet spirit, calmness in the face of the storm had impressed him, and he said he saw the Lord working in her heart! He then began to kiss her hand, stroke her cheek, and broke down in tears! She was shocked! Just the day before he had signed papers, but the Lord revealed his true heart! It was buried under years of bitterness and manipulation of others (they have an in-law control problem).
The Lord had turned his heart to mush, just as we had earnestly prayed would happen that morning! God can and WILL restore your marriage, no matter how hopeless it seems! Believe with all your heart on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved AND your house! Many are served divorce papers, only top have them dropped at the last minute, or they go through and then the husband's heart turns and they are re-married!
Also last weekend, another friend was re-married after being separated and then divorced EIGHT YEARS! Talk about giving the devil a black eye!!! It is a complete miracle, but when you are working with God, then He will turn all things for good to those who love Him! Check out restore ministries for more information. They will show you God's way, His heart and will for your marriage. May He richly bless you with all the desires of your heart! ~Lindsay~
