Prayers for Pastor Jerry to get well and come to Europe for Revival Please Pray

15 March 2006 We started praying about this some time ago I see. There are a lot of challenges I will say that need to be overcome. But I do not want to focus on them. What we need more now then anything is just for your prayers again and belief and hope. With that we can do all things for the glory of God. So we're asking for your prayers again. The power of even just one prayer can be so powerful. I quote akabezalel: "There can never be change without prayer." Amen to that.

This is an inspiration in it's infancy stages, but I know before any fruitfulness becomes real it has to first become a vision. Some of us over here in Europe have been talking about the possibility of Jerry and his team coming over here for a revival. I have asked Jerry and he has accepted. That is faith. There are only a few elements in place. I only have an outline of what it takes to do this from Jerry. He has given his blessing for us to make a prayer vigil about it. He has said that if the Lord wants it, it will happen. I have to admit I have had some skeptism about how this would be received in Norway or some of the other nations over here in Europe. Pia and Carrie-Ann know what I'm talking about. But Jerry has assured me, I don't have to worry about that. If there is a place for it overhere, the Lord can prepare the hearts and the minds of the people... The Lord worked through the Tsunami over here, because people were going to their pastor's and clergymen asking questions and going to church. They didn't feel so self assured and that was good. My husband's coworkers are always telling him they thing religion is a crutch for the weak... But I have decided to stop thinking about any skeptism and putting it in the hands of prayer. Jerry said, "Lets go to prayer." At first I wasn't going to post, but the spirit has not left me alone, so I am requesting your prayers. You may not live over here in Europe, but would you still pray for this over here. This means a lot of hard work and hard prayer. It means raising money and lots of faith and hope. We have a place where Jerry and his team can come stay for free and be fed. Alot more needs to happen. There has to be some walls come down, or barriers be broken. I thankyou my friends Pia and Carrie-Ann for your prayers and encouragement already. Please support this small little seed and water it with your prayers... I think sometimes my faith is weak, but my hopes are great. All of you who could possibly come to this are invited as well. The Civil Defense compound is huge. Well I won't keep thinking about the practical problems, what we need now is prayer. I can't carry this in prayer alone. Thankyou so much.

I feel sure that this prayer will be answered in a way we never thought possible !! I am so excited about it.

I keep reading about Jerry's meetings and rallies, so many coming under the conviction of the Holy Spirit, the salvation and the healings....and it's just so darned far away from Holland that there's no way Chinook and i could ever be at one of his meetings.
The prospect of maybe being able to be part of this....in the flesh, live ! .... and being able to contribute in prayer is overwhelming.

Oh Father, I believe You have given my sister a vision of Revival in Europe.
I ask that You will set afire many hearts to pray for this, that You will place a burning passion in many to seek Your will for this vision.
Thankyou that it is You that will pave the way, it is You that will open doors and prepare all that needs to be done.
I pray that brothers and sisters will heed Your call when You speak to their hearts. That You will raise up people to build and organise, according to your will.

Let this be the labour pains of a huge Revival in Norway, let it spread over Europe like a raging fire.... and let it touch little Holland too !

Let us not look at the practical side of things now, let us bend our knees in prayer and ask for open doors.

The only way we can spoil the country is to bind the strong man in prayer first.

Remember we have the Keys to this victory.

We have the keys to heaven.

I join my army with your army and go to the Lord and pray.
Father we need a war council.
Father we need generals and intercessors
Father rise up an army to take back the Land for your honor and glory.

There are only three here now
but I know there will be many who will hear the trumpets call.

Father we want your will and we already know You want all saved.

Thankyou Jerry, Carrie-Ann and Whome for your prayers, and powerful words. I am emotional today with the power of them and of hope for the people over here. They need to find Jesus again and have hope. We are supposed to have such a high standard of living in some of these countries, but low spiritual life. What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world, but loses his soul. But I can tell you something about the Norwegian people, when they are converted, that stuborness is also manifest and they are very diligent. If you make a friendship, they will be your friend for life. I believe Jerry your words; "we don't need to worry about the people;" His sheep know His voice. And yours Carrie-Ann; "if we can get one, the rest will follow." Like starting a small spark, that fans into a large flame.

Dear Heavenly Father, I stand in agreement with these prayers and hopes starting here today over the people of Europe. You know the minds and hearts of the people over here and You know their righteous potential. You know what needs to happen in their lives to turn them to Jesus. Break down all of the walls they have built up in their self assurance in themselves and their contentedness in having so little in their lives. Satan has a hold on many of the hearts and minds in our area of the world and we need the power of prayer over this area of the world. We need to have a new hope, a new purpose, a new vision and understanding of who we are and what we supposed to be doing with our lives. We need the power of Your spirit working over these lands and shaking them up with the Word of truth. I ask that You pour out Your spirit upon these people again and prepare them for those things You would have them receive. Give us the heart, the mind, and the will to pray until they cannot run away. Hear our prayers and prepare a way for Jerry and the members to come here and preach to the people. Open up the doors that are locked and touch their hearts and minds. Please Father I stand on the words Jerry has spoken, I rebuke the hold that Satan has over Norway, Germany, Finland, Denmark, Sweden and Holland and every country that has gone their own way and lost the truth. I know their are many followers who are pure in heart and believe and have been saved. Let these be lights to the others. Prepare a way this revival in these countries can come about, no matter how hard we have to pray, for how long for it to come about. I claim these countries for You and ask in Jesus Holy Name amen.

Gal 3:13-14 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us; for it has been written, "Cursed is everyone having been hung on a tree;" Deut. 21:23 that the blessing of Abraham might be to the nations in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

2Ti 4:17 But the Lord stood with me and gave me power, that through me the preaching might be fulfilled, and all the nations might hear.

Carol thankyou for that powerful prayer and scriptures. I feel the strength from those prayers.

Think about what the Lord meant when he took his Twelve Apostles to the top of the Mount of Olives and said:
“… And ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” (Acts 1:8.)

These were his last words on earth before he went to his heavenly home.

What is the significance of the phrase “uttermost part of the earth”? He had already covered the area known to the apostles. Was it the people in Judea? Or those in Samaria? Or the few millions in the Near East? Where were the “uttermost parts of the earth”? Did he mean the millions in what is now America? Did he include the hundreds of thousands, or even millions, in Greece, Italy, around the Mediterranean, the inhabitants of central Europe? What did he mean? Or did he mean all the living people of all the world and those spirits assigned to this world to come in centuries ahead? How can we be satisfied with 100,000 converts out of nearly four billion people in the world who need the gospel?

After his crucifixion the eleven apostles assembled on a mountain in Galilee and the Savior came to them and said:

“… All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:”

(He said “all nations.”)

“Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” (Matt. 28:18–20.)

Again the word power and the word command and the promise of continual support.

And as he commanded them to go forth, do you think He wondered if it could be done? He reassured us. He had the power. He said, “All power is given me in heaven and in earth … and I am with you always.”

There was a universal need and there must be universal coverage.

Remember, our ally is our God. He is our commander. He made the plans. He gave the commandments.

As the time draws near for the advent of His second coming, we must hasten the Lord's work. He needs our prayers; we can do nothing and nothing can be accomplished without mighty prayer to rend the heavens. Then he can work mighty miracles through us, if we have a willing heart and a willing mind. This is my prayer for the nations of the earth.

The fields are white already to harvest... John 4: 35.

The gospel will be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations, Matt. 24: 14.

Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Mark 16: 15.

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, Matt. 28: 19-20

How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that publisheth salvation, Isa. 52: 7.

I will both search my sheep and seek them out. Ezek. 34: 11.

The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit. Rom. 8: 16 (1 Jn. 5: 6).

Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you. John 15: 16.

Hello there new friend,I have just read your letter. I just want you to know that I am praying for you and for Europe and for revival in this whole world. Our Father is so Gracious with his unfailing Love.I believe with all of my heart and soul that our PRECIOUS LORD JESUS is going to give us all revival. He has such a wonderful plan for all of us.You know i am new to all of this.I am a new christian so if my prayer is not perfect i do apologize to you but when its just mw and my LORD together at night you better believe that i will be praying for YOU, Europe, and the world whos lost on satans road to distuction! Oh Father how great is the need in Europe for Your healing.
How these countries need Your touch, so many have slipped into such 'comfortable' ways, where everything seems to be permissible.
Where everything just gets crazier and more and more out of control.
Look at Germany, the men and women on benefit forced to earn money by offering their bodies....look at Holland where the first gay marriage took place, look at England where it is getting more and more difficult to celebrate Christmas....and the list goes on....people are afraid to 'offend' others with their beliefs...this is not the way You planned it !

Father there are so many many needs.

They have shut You out under the pretence of 'moving with the times'.

We need the breath of Your Spirit...we need the incense of prayers rising up to Your throne in unison, agreeing for the wind of Your Spirit to blow through these countries....
Raise up Your army Lord !! Speak life into the dry bones and raise up Your army !
We pray for open doors...we pray for guidance and wisdom, we pray that You will open the way...just as you made a way through the Red Sea for Moses and the people of Israel ... Father make a way to reach these nations.

These are the kinds of things that need to keep happening over here in Europe to maintain our religous freedoms. These are the kinds of things we need to be praying about everyday. This same kind of thing has happened in America. This is a real victory for the rights of religous freedom in Sweden. Please pray that these kinds of things can keep happening in the world today.

The Swedish Court of Appeal held that principles of freedom of expression protected those speaking on controversial topics from criminal prosecution.

Samuel E. Ericsson, President of Advocates International, attended the court's January 19 hearing in Sweden. Advocates Europe, the European arm of Advocates International, filed a friend-of-the-court brief pointing out that Pastor Green's conviction violated Sweden's international treaty obligations to defend religious freedom. In interviews with the Swedish press at the time of the hearing, Ericsson had expressed great concern about the global ramifications of the Green case because Sweden has a reputation for being a strong supporter of human rights. He also explained that Sweden's diplomats would lose standing to object to any country putting pastors in prisons for unpopular sermons. Speaking today, Ericsson said, "today's reversal and acquittal restores Sweden's diplomats to being advocates for freedom of expression and religious freedom."

After preaching a sermon about the Bible's condemnation of homosexual conduct and other sexually immoral conduct, Green was accused of inciting hatred and showing contempt in violation of Sweden's hate speech laws. Pastor Green's sermon focused on the spiritual, physical, psychological and societal risks of any sexual conduct that violates Scripture, not just homosexuality.

Samuel B. Casey, Executive Director and CEO of Christian Legal Society, stated: "We are grateful for Pastor Green's resolve and for the Swedish court's sensible decision." Casey added: "As in Sweden, there is increasing pressure in America on those who advocate a traditional biblical understanding of human sexuality. We hope that believers around the world will secure and maintain the freedom to share biblical truths with their neighbors without interference from the government."

The Christian Legal Society, founded in 1961, is the national membership organization of Christian attorneys, judges, law professors and law students, as well as supportive laypeople in all fifty states. They are organized in more than 1100 cities into attorney chapters, law student chapters, and fellowships throughout the United States.

Father in Heaven, I am feeling a great victory has been won over here in Sweden concerning this over-turning of Pastor Ake Green's conviction of trying to preach according to the dictates of his conscious and the laws and commandments as set forth in Thy Holy Word. Father I ask that this spirit of standing up for one's beliefs and convictions can not be undermined to the least degree, and that You will call on people everywhere to stand up and be counted for their rights to worship according to the convictions of their hearts and minds. I pray for Germany where it is slipping away. I pray that You will pour out Your spirit upon the prayer warriors to pray over these things that are taking place there. I pray for the spirit of revival to be renewed in our countries over here, in Sweden, in Norway, in Holland, in Germany, in England, in Norway, in Denmark and all the areas of this continent that are being compromised to any degree, where light is being called darkness and darkness light. I will be giving reports about some of the spiritual conditions of various nations of the world. Right now my focus is on Europe primarily or as Jerry directs. There is a Christian organization called "Advocates International" that is currently active in 26 European countries as well as other nations around the world. Their purpose is of great interest to us as Christians as a whole. They are a global network of Christian advocates and lawyers committed to "religious liberty, the issues of human rights, and conflict resolution and reconcilation." There mission statement is taken from Luke 10:25-37; Doing justice with compassion. We have great need of this in the world in which we now live and find our rights and freedoms to worship being incringed upon more and more.

Czech Republic

Country Demographics:

Population: 10.2 million
Religions: Atheist 39.8%, Roman Catholic 39.2%, Protestant 4.6%, Orthodox 3%, Other 13.4%
Income Per Capita: $5,560 year/ $15.44 day
Government Type: Parliamentary democracy

Legal Profession:

Estimated number of lawyers in the Czech Republic is 10,000
Estimated number of Christian believers involved in the legal profession is approximately 100
As of now, there is no Christian lawyers group in the country. However, there are hopes for initiating the creation of a Christian lawyers network in the near future.

Prayer Needs:

These people are 39.8% Atheist! They need our prayers for spiritual revival to open up in their lands!

They need God’s leadership and help in developing a functioning Christian lawyers advocacy group in the Czech Republic!

For more than 40 years Communist authorities denied the existence of God. In order to live in peace a generation of Czech accepted what they were told - denying the spiritual aspects of their lives. Darkness prevailed. Still suspicious, the people of Czech have emphasized educational pursuits. The spirit has been dormant...

"It was heartbreaking to see the ongoing atheistic philosophy of communism still affecting the Czech people, but our God is a great God and we know that His word will not return void. Even though it was spiritually difficult ministering to the Czech, our team seemed to thrive on it and the Lord blessed us in a mighty way and changed our lives for the better."

Heavenly Father, will You look down upon this nation of the Czech Republic and restore these people to the condition of faith again in their hearts and the knowledge of Jesus Christ their Redeemer and Savior and bless them with the knowedge of his infinite goodness and mercy and desires to receive them and bless and heal them from the years of oppression and blindness of mind. Father I ask You to work a miracle in this land and raise up ministers and missionaries to labor amongst them and bring them the message of the gospel and salvation. Today I wanted to focus on some of the miracles that are happening through the hand of the Lord here in our nations in Europe.

Many of the stories would have met with “It could never happen!” many years ago.

Albania

The former “North Korea of Europe” has made greater progress in religious freedom than perhaps any former communist nation anywhere. The official residence of the former dictator Enver Hoja (who in 1967 declared Atheism as Albania’s official religion) now serves as Grace Community Church of Tirana. This would have been impossible if Christian lawyers had not provided input to Albania’s new Constitution and allowed to practice law. Twenty years ago the mere possession of a Bible guaranteed ten years in prison. Today the Chancellor of Tirana’s District Courts is Toni Gogu, a lawyer serving as President of the Albanian Evangelical Alliance. In communist days, the Courts railroaded people to prison. Today’s motto for Albania’s judiciary is, “Justice is truth in action,” penned by Benjamin Disraeli, Britain’s 19th Century Prime Minister, a committed follower of Christ. Judges have a paperweight on their desk with this motto. Albania is proof of God’s miracles in motion.

Christian Literature

The goal of this project is to provide Christian literature to Christians and non-Christians who have neither the means nor the funds of acquiring it themselves.

With the collapse of communism in Eastern Europe came the return to freedom of religion. However, any Christian literature which might have existed at one time had been burned and destroyed long ago. The people now live in a spiritual vacuum and long for the printed Word to help them deal with their many problems.

Mission Without Borders is providing newspapers, stocking Christian libraries, and distributing Christian calendars and Bibles to beneficiaries living in refugee camps, children’s institutions, feeding centers, local churches, and homes for the elderly. Youngsters receive Children’s Bibles, illustrated books, Christian coloring and activity books and are awarded books as prizes at our holiday parties and summer camps.

Prayer Needs:

Spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ and the need for Christian literature.

God-given wisdom for Albanian politicians to lead the country through the hard political and economic times facing the country.

More missionaries to teach the gospel.

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank Thee for the wonderful progress that is going forth in this nation. But there is much that needs to be done. They are in need of more missionaries and teachers and more Christian literature and Bibles to teach the people. There temporal needs are great. They have a very low standard of living in compared to so many other nations over here. You know the hearts of Your people here and I pray that the gospel will go forth in this land and be opened up to a greater extent. Bless those Christian organizations and movements that are in their infancy stages trying to minister to the physical and spiritual needs of the people. Bless it's political leaders with sound resolves to bolster their countries economy. Let Thy hand and the spirit of revival be over this land. Lead them out of the darkness into the light of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Pour out your spirit over these people and touch their hearts and minds. I ask in Jesus Holy Name amen.

Please pray for Russia. They still have a lot of freedom of religion issues.
Religious freedom is a new concept in the largest country in the world, Russia. The country is primarily Russian Orthodox and was the center of Communist power for the world for more than a generation. With the crumbling of the USSR in 1991, Russia adopted a constitution officially allowing freedom of religion. However, that freedom is not consistently respected across the country.

Some Christian leaders are seeing what appears to be an increasing intolerance toward non-Orthodox believers. New visas and visa renewals have been regularly denied for foreign religious workers, including several Roman Catholic priests. When the Catholic Church established four dioceses in Russia in 2003, the dominant Orthodox Church accused them of proselytism. In October 2003 Protestant leaders reported ten arson attacks in the past two years, including Baptist churches in Chekhov and Balashikha near Moscow.

The major problem for religious freedom in Russia, however, is in Chechnya, where rebels have been fighting for independence from Russia. Increasing Chechen rebels, who are predominantly Muslim and with strong ties to militant Islamic groups including al-Qaida, have targeted Christians. In January 2002 Chechen rebels included all Christians on their list of official enemies, vowing to "blow up every church and mission-related facility in Russia." Many Christians have been forced to flee Chechnya to escape a rash of kidnappings and brutal murders.

Prayer Requests

Pray that religious freedom will be consistently respected throughout Russia.

Pray for safety for Christians in danger from militant Islamic groups in Chechnya.

Dear Heavenly Father, I am asking for spiritual healing in this nation and the bringing down of persecutions of any kind. I pray that the rights of religious freedom may improve in this nation and make greater progression. I pray for the safety of Christians that have their lives in danger from these militant groups and a hedge of protection around them. I pray that the power of the gospel can go forth over this land and the people will turn to Thee and truly come to know the Savior and accept him into their lives. Lord,
I am standing an agreement with this prayer.I also want Jerry to come in Europe and I am praying that lots of people get saved.This is what we need here. I really know that cause when I go to the christian church, there is only old people in there and I know someone of those are in there cause it is only a habbit to be at church in sundays and in the christmas time etc.We need young people to get saved, we need all kinds of people to get saved and we need all kinds of people to praise a Lord and be at church because they feel like it is home,Jesus is their HOME NOT A HABBIT!!!!!Dear Lord I know there will be many miracles in this year in Europe, in our families, our friends home, our relatives home.Let this be a year of salvation to everyone.Amen.

The country of Moldova, surrounded by Romania and Ukraine, was a former republic of the USSR and is one of Europe's poorest countries. The country is governed by a democratic constitution that guarantees religious freedom and, generally speaking, this seems to have been respected. However, the law contains restrictions that has caused restrictions of freedom for some groups. Registration is required by law and has not always been easily available to smaller religious organizations.
The compulsory registration has also been used for personal gain in some instances. In September 2003, two Methodist congregations were repeatedly refused registration, in part for refusing to pay a bribe to authorities.

Other religious organizations admitted to paying bribes to the commissioner of religion and received their registrations. Those who refuse registration on principle, such as the International Council of Churches of Evangelical Christians/Baptists, have faced raids, including closing two street libraries in early 2003 and confiscation of the books.

In 2002, changes were made to the criminal code which has caused concerns for Christians who remember the tactics used in the former USSR. Article 186 of the Criminal Code, adopted in April 2002, restricts religious practices that can be classified as harmful to one's health or which "instigate citizens to refuse to participate in public life or the fulfillment of citizens' obligations." Those found guilty can face a fine or up to 5 years in prison. The classification of some religious practices as harmful to health was used in the former Soviet Union as an excuse for religious oppression.

Prayer Requests

Pray for protection and freedom to worship those Christians who have had difficulties registering with the government or who oppose registration, remembering the abuses they have faced in the past.

Pray that the church would be able to help provide for the practical needs of the people in this impoverished country.

Pray that new laws will not cause restrictions on freedom for the people of Moldova.

Miracles..."I will never forget how on two different occasions, we encountered rage and destruction of some of our equipment by two different Communist military officers. The common people ran in to defend us yelling, 'You Communists tried to keep us from hearing about the Bible and God for 70 years and now we are insisting that our children have the chance to hear!' Actually the disturbances increased the attendance. One rainy day we went to the courtyard to cancel Bible club, but the children said they'd been waiting in the rain for three-hours before Club was scheduled to begin and we just had to tell them a Bible story! Can you believe! Needless to say, we did just that!"

Dear Heavenly Father, I stand in agreement with these prayer requests over the country of Moldova. There needs are great, economically and spiritually. I pray that the evil practices of accepting bribes for registration can be uprooted and I rebuke any hold Satan has had over this country and it's regime. I am standing in prayer for religious tolerance and freedom to cover the nation. I pray for the great temporal needs for these people. I pray that they can receive the aid and help they need and You would bless the religious organizations to adminsiter to the great spiritual needs of this country. Finland

Although Finland has a rich history of revivals, it today stands in the need of a great awakening. It is rapidly becoming secularized, and the nation stands in the need of a deep move of God. The Lutheran Church is the predominant historic church and on the whole is more Evangelical than other Lutheran churches in Europe. However, few attend the church on Sundays. Some estimates have Sunday morning attendance in Lutheran churches at about 4%.

Prayer Needs

Pray for a mighty revival to sweep across Finland.

Pray for God to stir His people to pray for revival.
Pray for the churches to have wisdom and power to reach an increasingly secular population.

Pray for the Finnish Christians as they have a wonderful opportunity to minister in Russia and the former Soviet states because of their geographic location.

Dear Heavenly Father, I am asking for the spirit of revival to take hold in Finland. Father they need this. Stir them up in rememberance of You. Open their eyes again. Many have forgotten You. I pray for those who are converted and strong in the faith to let their light shine and be instruments in Thy hands in bearing testimony and spreading the gospel to others. Help those who are preaching and ministering to the people, give them strength and open the hearts and the minds of the people. Strengthen Your ministry there and raise up those who will pray for revival throughout Finland and Europe. Bless the Finnish Christians to share the gospel with their neighbors in Russia. Miracles and Revival On The Wings of A Prayer

Over 140 years ago, the great British pastor, Charles Haddon Spurgeon, wrote, "The times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord have at last dawned upon our land. Everywhere there are signs of aroused activity and increased earnestness. A spirit of prayer is visiting our churches….The first breath of the rushing mighty wind is already discerned, while on the rising of evangelists the tongue of fire has evidently descended."

The "spirit of prayer" that Mr. Spurgeon described has always been at the root of every great awakening of the Christian church. It's matters not whether you search the New Testament or look in the halls of history, revival has always been preceded by prayer. In Acts 1, the church was birthed in a prayer meeting. In the next chapter, 3000 people were converted. Throughout the book of the Acts of the Apostles, the church prayed and then God moved. The first great missions movement was birthed in prayer. Time and time again, the church took great strides forward because someone or a small band of people prayed.

Victorious praying lays the foundation for revival. Over the last number of years, I've been a student of the great evangelical revivals, and I've discovered that all have prayer at the heart of them. Someone gets a burden and begins to pray. They wait upon the Lord and in His divine time, He answers their prayers. They meet with God and God manifests Himself to them.

The first time that I experienced revival, there was a spirit of prayer that permeated the church and the evangelistic meetings. It began with a praying pastor. He refused to give up - to quit. He continued praying in spite of bleak circumstances. Then one day, God came. He visited His people. When God comes, everything gets interrupted. Evangelistic meetings that were scheduled to conclude on Sunday had to be extended an extra week. The church building couldn't hold the people. The news media reported on "the great things that God was doing." The hardest drug addicts were saved and delivered from their addictions. Racial enemies became brothers in Christ. God came when His people prayed.

I would not try to make you believe that I understand all the reasons why that is so. I just know it's a spiritual law of life. It's true. Prayer and revival are always partners in the manifestation of the glory of God. His glory comes when He comes. When that happens, the church is accelerated in its spiritual and numerical growth. Revival precedes great harvests of souls, and prayer always precedes great revivals of the church.

Prayer is simply intimacy with God. When we become intimate with Him, then we're on the road to revival. One can't be intimate with God and wear a religious mask. Genuine prayer produces genuine repentance. Deep repentance releases the Spirit of God in our lives. When that happens, then we're already on the road to revival. There's much talk today about revival. I simply know one thing about revival. It always descends on the wings of prayer. A praying people will ultimately be a revived people. Pray and stand back and see what He will do.

It was a historic moment. Thousands had gathered in Beltc'y, Moldova for the first time to hear the gospel in a football stadium. At that time, Moldova was still a part of the former Soviet Union. Christians were persecuted. Life was difficult. Everyone had been brainwashed with atheism. But Christians had prayed for God to open the doors, and this was that day. He did it.

I was very nervous as I stood to proclaim the name of Christ. Questions filled my mind. What would the people think? Would they respond to an open invitation to come to Christ? Several years earlier I had been deported from the former Soviet Union for telling university students about Jesus. Now, I stood at this historic moment to proclaim the great gift of God's salvation.

At the close of my message that afternoon, I extended the invitation for people to come to Christ. At first I asked people to lift their hands if they wanted to know Christ, and I told them that I would pray for them. No one lifted a hand. I prayed, "Oh God, what do I do now?" The Holy Spirit seemed to whisper in my heart, "Press on. Press on."

I then called for people to join me at the front of the platform if they wanted to place their faith in Christ and follow Him. No one responded. I prayed again, but God seemed to indicate that He had it all under control. I looked up, and to my surprise, a poor peasant woman came out of the stands all by herself. She was carrying a bouquet of flowers over her head. She marched all by herself in front of an overflow crowd in the stadium to the pulpit. She then handed me the flowers and knelt in front of the pulpit and began to cry out to God.

I looked up as she began to pray. Tens, twenties, fifties, and hundreds of people began to respond to the invitation to come to Christ. It was an incredible sight to behold. Close to 2500 people made commitments of their lives to Christ that afternoon.

I was so moved by the courage of that one poor peasant woman that I wrote the story of what had happened in our newsletter. We actually had pictures of what took place. Not long after our newsletter was sent out, I received a phone call from a lady who had been in a women's prayer group with my wife. She said, "Sammy, can I come to your office? There's something that I must show you."

She came immediately to my office and brought her prayer diary with her. Every day she would record how God had impressed her to pray. She had been praying for two months for our Moldovan crusade. God had laid it on her heart to pray for a poor peasant woman in Moldova "to have the courage to do what ever God was telling her to do." She had recorded that in her diary consistently as she prayed.

I was overwhelmed. One woman in San Antonio, Texas prayed and God shook a nation. Prayer prepared the heart of one peasant woman, and God was able to work a miracle. Jesus said, "But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you" (Matt. 6:6 NIV). One day we will all discover who God's secret heroes are. They are those who wrote the history of the kingdom with the secret prayers of their hearts.

I begin now calling in the provision and financial support that they need to go and be an effective force in bringing Europe back to Your side Lord! I begin now facing down, binding and rebuking the enemy who would stop them. I begin now calling the team together for this Revival in Europe! From the Noth the South the east and the west I call them from the whole world Lord to take Jesus into a world that is stagnant in the Faith they once held dear! Prayer Needs

Pray for the spirit of revival for the Bulgarian people. Open the hearts of those who do not know Jesus.

Pray for those who are vulnerable, the elderly, unemployed and those with disabilities that they will be able to keep warm and fed during the winter.

Pray for children who live in orphanages. Ask Heavenly Father to help them know his special love, that he cares for each of them.

Pray that God will guide the decisions of those in the government.

Pray for God's help in increasing care and sensitivity for the disabled and decreasing the exorbitant abortion rates in the country.

Pray for God's guidance to fight against unemployment, corruption and organized crime.

Dear Heavenly Father, I stand in the gap for the country of Bulgaria. I pray for the mighty spirit of revival to take hold in the land. I pray that Chrisitians will desire to share their faith with others and open the hearts of those who hear the word. I pray for divine guidance of those leaders of the nation in working out the many problems of unemployment and poverty. The Netherlands

The Netherlands has a rich history of God's working during the days of the Reformation. However, during the last number of years, there has been a decline in the church. The Netherlands have become more and more secular during the last few decades. Amsterdam has the famed "red light district." Homosexuality, prostitution, abortion, and drug abuse have become a part of the cultural landscape.

Prayer Needs

Pray for revival in the churches and among Christian groups throughout the country.

Pray for the Spirit of God and to sweep over the land bringing them back to their historic spiritual roots.

Pray for the Christian organizations in the country. Pray for boldness, purity and unity among God's people. Pray for many to turn to Christ.

Dear Heavenly Father, I lift this nation up to Thee in a petition for their much needed spirituality and the need for the spirit of revival to take hold in this land again. I pray for every Christian and organization for their boldness in sharing the gospel of Christ and greater unity amongst Thy people. I pray for a newness of spirit to take hold in the land and a desire for a stronger reformation to Christian values. Prayer that impacts nations
The world has not yet seen what God can and will do through men and women of prayer. I'm convinced that the greatest changes in our world have come from men and women on their knees in prayer. Prayer changes the people prayed for and the people praying. It has the ability to change the circumstances in which we find ourselves and can even change the course of human history. It's more powerful than all the nuclear arsenals in the hands of human governments and even more potent than all the armies of the world.

Prayer reaches to the highest place in heaven and to the lowest sinner on earth. It touches the heart of God and changes the souls of men. It ascends to the throne of God and descends to the palaces of kings. Prayer is God's gift to His children and His people's gift to a lost and dying world. There's no greater method of changing nations than that of prayer. It's God's secret weapon tucked away in the hearts of His people. In the Bible, prayer has accomplished incredible things. It stops wars, changes hearts, causes rain, produces drought, heals the sick, brings revival, thrusts the church into evangelism, impacts nations, and raises the dead. Prayer is the great source of power for those who know and love the Savior.

My life was changed and philosophy of ministry shaken to the core by humble praying men and women in Romania during the dark days of communism. Very few of those dear followers of Christ had Bibles. There were no Christian bookstores, radio stations, television stations, or daily devotions through the Internet. Bibles were often confiscated by the government. Leaders were thrown into prison. Believers lost their jobs. It was the worst of times and the worst of times. Spiritual darkness covered the land.

However, there was one thing the government couldn't take away from the people - the power of prayer. I witnessed first-hand God's people in Romania who prayed a nation out of darkness into light. It was one of the great miracles of the 20th century. I know of believers who prayed for more than 20 years for God to change the nation. It looked impossible. But believers there had one great hope - God is a God who specializes in the impossible. They prayed and refused to quit praying.

One Romanian pastor taught the people in his congregation to pray in an unusual manner. "Ask God to open the doors to preach in the great stadiums of the nation," he exhorted. "Pray that one day we'll be able to preach on radio and television, that we'll proclaim His name in the newspapers."

Many people were dumbfounded by the godly pastor's teaching. "Pastor," they responded. "You know we can't do that. We're treated as the dirt on the floor. We have no rights in our own nation. That would be impossible."

But the dear saintly man reminded them, "With men, it's impossible. But with God, all things are possible." The church prayed - and prayed - and continued to pray. And God answered beyond anyone's wildest imagination. The evil dictator, Nicolae Ceaucescu, was overthrown and a revolution erupted in the country during December 1989. Thousands of people gathered in the main streets of every major city in the country and begin to shout, "Existe Dumnezeu! Existe Dumnezeu!", which translated means "There is a God! There is a God!" The theme song of the revolution was one about the second coming of Christ. It was an incredible moment in the history of the nation. It was a moment in which decades of the prayers of God's people had finally filled the throne room of God. The windows of heaven were opened, and God poured out His blessing upon a nation, and the bells of freedom rang in Romania. Nations are trembling today because of unrest, war and famine. We desperately need men and women who will pray until the glory of God comes to the nations. The Bible says, "When Solomon finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices, and the glory of the LORD filled the temple" (2 Chronicles 7:1 NIV). Solomon didn't just begin praying; he finished praying. And then the glory of the Lord came down. Where are the men and women of prayer today who will seek God "until the glory of the Lord comes down" on the nations? Prayer changes nations. If you know the Savior, you can participate in the privilege of prayer. You can impact the nations.

England

England has a rich history of revival movements. George Whitefield and John Wesley were used mightily during the 1700s. Charles Haddon Spurgeon drew multitudes to hear his preaching in the 1800s. However, only a small minority attend church in England today. Simultaneously, there's a growing movement of non-Christian religions. Islam is especially making in-roads into England.
Prayer Needs

Pray for a great revival to sweep through England and especially throughout the churches in the land. Pray for the fire of God's spirit to sweep the land.

Pray for many of the Muslims and Hindus who have moved into the country to come to know Christ.

Dear Heavenly Father, I stand in the gap over England and Great Britian. I pray for the spirit of revival to take hold in the land. England:

Replacing Religion with Relationship

I heard the Lord say I will replace religion with relationship. No
longer shall My English people worship a God that seems afar off but one
whom they have come to know intimately.

I believe the Lord is releasing this country as a whole from traditions
of the past and going through the rituals of the past and that he is
releasing a new form of intimacy.

A new river of healing shall flow through the hearts of My people says
the Lord that shall break the ice over the hearts of men. Out of this
shall burst burst forth a new revelation about what true intimacy with
God is really like.

There is a level of intimacy that Adam and Eve experienced in the garden
of eden that has been for the most part lost to mankind, but I feel the
Lord will revive that in England. I hear the Lord saying England shall
return to her first love (Rev 2:4-5).

The Lord also showed me that he is releasing a special anointing of
intimacy especially with the men. Ladies you are not exempt from this,
but men on the whole are lot more resistant to intimacy with Christ than
women are.

To you men who have been resistant to My intimacy the Lord says too
late. I say too late because the river of My presence shall hit you in
such a way that your hearts shall give in to a new and deeper depth of a
relationship with your God.

Abandoned Churches becoming places of revival.

Around England you will find a lot of pre 1st World War buiilt churches,
some dating back centuries before. Most of them either have very little
attendance while some have been abandoned altogether or turned into
museums.

I sense that the Lord will once again use these places as centers of
revival where miracle and repentance meetings will be held once again as
in the times of the old revivals.

I hear the Lord say, Lazarus shall be woken up. Those churches that you
see empty or abandonded shall once again facilitate an ushering of My
presence and My Glory.

Vision of the Olive Tree

I saw an olive tree standing in the midst of an olive grove. Among the
branches were olives which started letting out oil that seeped through
the branches and onto the tree trunk. Before this the tree looked old,
almost withered and without life.

I sensed in my spirit that the Lord is pouring out his oil upon the
church in England. This oil (anointing) has been stifled and held back
for a long time, and this in many ways has prevented the Body from
experiencing times of refreshing in many places.

A fresh anointing is coming says the Lord. My people have prayed and the
barriers have been broken, and now My Spirit shall flow in full measure.

Psalm 1: A Call to Holiness and Godly counsel

The Lord is speaking Psalm 1 over this nation in a call to righteous
living. Although this applies to the nation as a whole, I feel he is
speaking particularly to walk in holiness before the Lord. If we as a
church are not walking in his ways, then how else will the nation be
turned to God?

The Lord says people will no longer see hypocrites in My people but
transparent people burning with My fire and the uncompromising word of
God. I will have a people after My own heart.

A New Sound of Praise

I heard the Lord say I will anoint the music industry. Even now I am
sending musicians who will bring forth a new sound from heaven that will
captivate even the secular media.

God is going to move with music in such a way that some Christian songs
released will go to number one in the secular charts. God is looking for
those who will say yes, those who will open their mouths and allow Him
to fill them with his praises.

I am going to take the music industry by storm, says the Lord.

Scotland: A Nation of Bravehearts

God is going to anoint Scotland for prayer. The Lord is releasing a
strong mantle of prophetic intercession in Scotland. He is going to
raise up prayer groups that are going to be radical with prayer.

Faith will arise to believe God for the impossible. Scotland is going to
come to a revelation of what true Spiritual warfare is.

Truly the prayers of a righteous people shall avail much in this land
says the Lord. For I am raising up a band of faith warriors whose
prayers shall release My will into the heavenlies and into the
atmosphere.

There is a new sound coming out of Scotland says the Lord. It is a sound
of war, but indeed My people in Scotland shall be victorious as they
continue to put their faith and trust in Me.

Wales: My Fire shall move quickly

During the industrial revolution here in the UK and into the mid 20th
century, Wales thrived in the coal industry (coal mining and coal being
used to power the then steam machinery). But this industry has since
seen decline mainly because better more efficient substitutes have
emerged and the fact that there isn't that much coal left as before.

In a vision the Lord showed me Wales covered with coal that was glowing
red. A fire then swept through the coal igniting more fires until Wales
was literally ON FIRE.

I heard the Lord say I am blowing My winds over Wales. My fire shall
sweep across Wales again as it did in the earlier revival period.
Nothing and noe one shall be able to stand against this fire. Because I
am consuming Wales once again with My Glory.

Coals on Lips

The Lord showed me that he was visiting many of His Welsh people and
touching their lips with the coals of heaven as it was in Isaiah 6: 6-7.
This is symbolic for a strong spirit of prophecy that shall come upon
the Welsh people.

The Lord says I will anoint your lips to speak My Word boldly. I am
giving Wales a new authority of tearing down strongholds and building up
the Kingdom of God.

Speak forth that it is indeed a time of release. The chains shall fall
off, the scales shall fall from My peoples as they see My anointing and
Christ in you.

Liquid Gold

I saw the Lord pour liquid gold over Wales that spread to her neighbours
and to the nations of the earth. He is pouring out a great measure of
glory upon Wales such that this fire shall spread to the nations of the
earth.

Northern Ireland: Your walls are coming down

The Lord says Northern Ireland your walls are coming down. Not only are
the walls that you have erected against Me going to fall, but the walls
you have erected against each other too shall fall.

The Lord showed me a stone wall that stood between the Pentecostal and
Roman Catholic comunities that brought the separation which in the
natural we see as the conflict between both groups.

I saw the Lords hand bring the wall down and both groups come to a
reconciliation. They came to a place of seeing Christ through the same
eyes.

Great reformation is coming to Northern Ireland.

Let each one move in the giftings You have placed in them, and let Your Spirit pour out upon all of the people everywhere! Father, give us perfect words to speak over this revival, to prepare the way for Your awesome Presence. Let every move be planned in advance and when the ministers go, build a fire in every heart. Father, allow Your Spirit to take over every meeting. Let no one know what is going to happen there ahead of time, even surprise the speakers with the message that comes from the lips which are truly dedicated to serving You. You know there are many who are hungry in the poorer nations who once were under Communism and have even little access to Christian literature. I pray for the gospel of Jesus Christ to take hold and spread in those nations. I am also praying for the hardness of the hearts of the people in the richer nations who have forgotten Thee and do not believe in anything much outside themselves. Romania

Romanian Christians suffered severe persecution under Ceaucescu's communist regime. However, a revival began in the early 1970’s in the northwestern region of Transylvania. The city of Oradea became a hub for Evangelical Christians. Today the largest Bible college in Eastern Europe is housed at the Emanuel Bible Institute in Oradea.

The Romanian church continues to grow and be one of the most alive Evangelical communities in all of Europe.

Prayer Needs

Pray for the new Christian leadership that is presently being trained in the country.

Pray for the Christian lawyers in defending human rights, particularly religious liberties.

Pray for the spirit of revival to continue to go forth in the land.

Pray for their physical needs as well, many are very poor.

Dear Heavenly Father, I am asking for the mighty spirit of revival over the nation of Romania. I am asking for an increase in livlihood and abilities to make a living. I am praying that You will lift these people up and the gospel will spread and grow like a fire through the whole country. As I was reading the topic of the prayer request,the Scriptures that are quickened upon my spirit is "Ask of Me, and I will give you the Nations as your inheritance until the uttermost parts of the Earth" and also Revelation 3:7&8 "Every door that I open no man can shut, and every door that I shut no man can open, see with a little strength I have set an open door before you"

We pray that the Father's shield of favour surrounds you as you enter into these Nations, we wage war against every principality that would hinder the move of God over your life and the lives of the team that are travelling with you, we cover and protect each one of you with the Blood of Jesus Christ, every spiritual stronghold we cancel in the Matchless Name of Jesus Christ, and we legislate an open heaven in these meetings, we ask the Father to prepare the hearts of these people, so that the Word will not fall on stony ground, but into a ground that will be fertile and much fruit will come forth. We cover your families even as you step into these nations and we push back every force of backlash against your life, the life of your family and also against those and their families that would be travellign with you, right now in the Name of Jesus Christ.

Austria

Austria is strategically located in the center of Europe. Consequently, a number of mission agencies, especially ones with ministries in Eastern Europe, have been located in Austria. However, evangelical Christians in the nation are small in number. There have been growth in the number of Evangelical churches in the last couple of decades, but there's still a great need in the land.

Austria in one of the great cultural centers of Europe, and has hosted refugees from countries where people have suffered for their faith.

Prayer Needs

Pray that Austria will become a spiritual center for revival throughout Europe.

Pray that the church will continue to grow.

Pray for courage among Christians and for the witness of the Word of God to go forth mightily in Austria.

Macedonia

Macedonia has one of the smallest Evangelical Christian communities in all of Europe. The Methodist church has a sizable remnant in the nation, and there are a couple of growing Pentecostal churches. Although Macedonia was formerly a part of communist Yugoslavia, the new political leadership of the nation has on several occasions opposed activities of the Evangelical community since the break up of Yugoslavia.

Macedonia recently suffered the loss of its President, an evangelical, in a plane crash during bad weather. Latcho Popov in Bulgaria, Macedonia’s neighbor, has a close working relationship with Laste Spasovski and other followers of Christ in the legal profession in Macedonia.

Prayer Needs

Pray for freedom in Macedonia to preach the gospel.

Pray for the mighty spirit of revival to take hold in the land.

Pray for unity in the Body of Christ.
