i have a friend who lives is Europe. she considers herself a Christian. she believes Jesus is her Savior, she prays, had her children baptized, she feels connected to God, etc. HOWEVER, she has never INVITED God to be her Lord and Savior. she feels that b/c she believes with her whole heart and mind that Jesus is her Lord that is all she needs. is she right? and if not, why is it important to INVITE Him to come into your life? how can i explain this to her? we have been exchanging e-mails for days but she feels this is about belief and emotion not invitations. what do you think?????
please help! :-) thank you!

The link above explains what you need to do in order to be saved. It is found in Jerry's Lessons. I hope this will answer your question.
Father, flowerchild is asking for wisdom, teach her Lord and show her the answers. AMEN!

God wants to have a relationship with us. When you make a friend, you invite them to coffee, lunch, get-togethers etc right? Same thing.

Flowerchild: God declares he who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Christ and the Holy Spirit inspired Apostles also show what all is necessary in our confession to God. Part of that is asking Christ into our lives and accepting Him as our Lord and Savior.
It's part of our public confession of belief in God and the Trinity. (Which sent my "ex-girlfriend over the edge years ago, because I then put Christ ahead of her, knowing she was still unsaved yet). Not to worry, God brought her around within a few months.
"Short story"- At one of our Home Church gatherings, I was talking to a single Mom with kids new comer to it. Our Pastor was providing "full body" emersed baptizing. I'd only been by water over my head. The woman was saved and reborn for many years too but never baptized and embarrased to do it. But her kids wanted to be also.
I explained my situation and offered to be done like that if she and her kids would also. She agreed. Just like baptism, I believe also you must publicly- (before witnesses), ask Christ into your life and accept Him as your Lord and Savior.
Keep in mind all the people claiming to be Christians but who aren't truely saved and reborn, but believe because of "works" they do. "...if works be of works, then Grace is no more Grace and Jesus Christ died on the cross in vain".
By the way, I spent the first 7 years serving God as a lost person believing because I hadn't done that either right away.
Hope this helps- Take care and God Bless!
