Correct way to pray

Is not the correct way to pray is for others and not for our own interests? Are we not suppose to praise God and not keep asking for HIS assistance for a physical thing?

I was taught to worship God and praise HIS name everyday and not always be asking for his help for some physical material thing which is here one day and gone the next. For Jesus said, "Seek the Kingdom of Heaven and all things will be given unto you."

Also are not all things under heaven belong to God and He already knows what we need.

For an example, even though I am not working due to lack at work at DTS I pray daily, read the Bible, seek HIS guidence, and praise HIS HOLY name. My family's every need has been met even though we have very little money. The rent has been late but has been paid, the bills are caught up, and we have so much food that our pantry is overflowing. My family is able to be together, my prescriptions are paid, and I am able to see the doctor for my congestive heart failure regularly. I even somehow have enough gas in the car to do errands and go places. I even have the Faith to know that when it is time, GOD will send me back to work.

I may have been a little concerned in the past with bills coming due, but like it says in Matthew 6: 26-27
26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in
barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more
valuable than they? 27Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his
life


So what am I saying? I am saying this. Praise God always with a cheerful heart and worship him alone. GIve HIM thanks before it happens and seek HIS kingdom with a child's heart and he WILL add onto your life.

We are to give God,the praise in all and everything.When we are going
through trials, we are to praise Him.Praise Him and out of storms.Just
praise Him,for being God,dieing on the cross for us.Praise His Holy name
He,is worthy.
