My husband told me a story:
A little boy lived on a farm with his family. Every month him, his father and his big brother would go visit the farm next to theirs. Every time they walked into the yard, the farmers little dog would come running and barking. The little boys father and big brother stood their ground, it was only a little dog after all. The little boy, however, would run away from the little dog and jump onto the roof of the car for safety. Guess who the dog always chased? Yip...the little boy!
The devil is like the little dog. Every time he throws things our way, we run away and hide on our car (this could be depression for you, as it was in my case, or something else..anger, bitterness, fear). Did the little dog ever bother the Father or big brother? NO! One kick from them would kill the little dog.
The point is, our enemy is defeated! One way to kick him is with praise to our God. From now on, my husband and i have decided to Praise God Out Loud When Things Go Wrong. Its become our motto as from last night. I'm sick and tired of running from the devil. I HAVE DECLARED WAR! My God is bigger than the enemy.
Praise God, both our vehicles broke this week.
Praise God, unexpected expenses came up this month.
Praise God, our family's health is being attacked.
Praise God, Praise God, Praise God!!!!
God is bigger than all these problems, so praise be to Him.
God will catch us when we fall...or He will teach us to fly!
