Has anybody read it? It's really interesting and amazing where C.S.Lewis got these ideas how the enemy works.
But when you read it you also get thoughts like: "What if you're simply crazy and suffer from a persecution complex and see a demon behind every tree?"
I mean this stuff sounds so gross that it's really hard to believe sometimes.
It's kind of paradox cause even though Lewis describes the tactics of the enemy so well it's still somehow hard to believe that the enemy is really so sophisticated and that he really does these things and that he really works this way. Does this mean that while reading this book I am once again under attack from the enemy who uses this book to make me think about wether I'm not the one who simply suffers from a persecution complex?
Does this mean that the enemy can even use such a book which is actually meant to reveal his tactics against christians?

Frederik, the enemy will use WHATEVER means to get to Christians, and to people. He is cunning, devious, sly.
2Co 11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtlety, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

You think Screwtape is amazing?
Have you seen Constantine?

Excuse me but I am talking about a book and not about movies.
What does this book have to do with Constantine?

In the movie Constantine he interacts with demons and hell.
It is total fiction, but has some good lessons in it.
Remember that Screwtape is total fiction with some good lessons in it.

He? Who? Lewis?

Sorry. Being totally vague.
Constantine is a movie about a character, John Constantine, who interacts with demons and hell.
When you mentioned The Screwtape Letters I thought of how amazing they sounded when I read them so long ago, and how much more we now believe in the evil of the enemy and the horror of his work.
We have so many who have had near death experiences, or have even returned from death to tell us about heaven and hell that we are more familiar with them now.
C.S. Lewis got it way before the rest of us. It just shows how really gifted Mr. Lewis really was. He was a man ahead of his time.
Sorry for the confusion.

Is this a serious movie or rather something which makes it all look ridiculous?
