Depression--A Prayer and A Hope

I'm old and for over half my life I've suffered with depression, but thank God, it has stopped! Several things stopped my depression, which I feel I need to share, because so many of us (Christians) suffer with this. This is what helped me:
1. Turning it over to God, which I did by making lists, listing what upset me,
and behind it was it fixable or not fixable (and kept turning it over.)
2. Psalms helped me a lot, gave me peace, lifted me up.
3. Did something kind for myself, private little parties of doing what made me
happy (like reading a book, the Bible, sipping tea, being kind to myself.)
4. Faking it until I made it...making myself smile...thinking happy thoughts.
5. Took two natural aids to help me sleep (had terrible time trying to sleep)
which was Valerian root and Melatonin...which helped me sleep soundly.
6. And yes, I found a vitamin site which really worked...(even lost weight)
and it balanced my chemicals and my depression stopped. After suffering for 30 years...it's the best miracle (which wouldn't have been
possible if I hadn't prayed...and prayed. Maybe it will help someone else.
At least read what it says about depression, which would help also.
It's at www.dontforgettotakeyourvitamins.com/sears6741. If it helps one person, that would make me extremely happy.
I truly believe that depression is in the nature of a curse, which does travel through families. My great uncle owned a box factory, which went of business, and he commited suicide when cardboard was developed. It has traversed throughout our family history, along with other illness, but I'm hoping with prayer to break the chain...which I'm seeing with my daughter Sara...who is struggling with borderline personality disorder. I pray that anyone suffering depression will feel God's love and be lifted by His loving arms and held close in the love of the True Father, God in Heaven and cleansed of this disease with the blood of His Precious Son. Amen.
