Jerry, I have a question

Hi Jerry, I hope I'm not taking up your time but this is something I really wanted to ask, although it's about doctrine. I was reading about what your ministry is about and the things you believe in.

'WE BELIEVE...the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a Special Experience Following Salvation that empowers believers for witnessing and effective service, just as it did in New Testament times.

WE BELIEVE... The Initial Physical Evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is ‘Speaking in Tongues,’ as experienced on the Day of Pentecost and referenced throughout Acts and the Epistles. This can also include languages spoken today to win people to the Lord.'

I wanted to know if when you are baptised in the Holy Spirit, if you definately have to speak tongues, then and there? I didn't speak in tongues when I got baptised, but there are times when I pray that I get ' groanings and utterings' where I believe the Holy Spirit is interceding for me. I also have spiiritual gifts that are used in ministry. Could it be that God works differently in people as He chooses, and my baptism was different, or am I just not baptised in the Holy Spirit? If I'm wrong, could you just give me references of this in the epistles ( I know of the ones in Acts). Could it be that what happened in Acts, was unique to them and it's not something God says must happen.

I would really appreciate your insight, other people I talk to don't really help me with my questions. Thanks, and God bless.
