Pearl harbor veteran Houston James of Dallas, embraces Marine Staff Sgt Mark Gauranke Jr. at a Veterans Day commemoration. Gauranke lost a hand, leg and eye when he defused a bomb last year in Iraq.
Father I ask for Your blessings to be poured out on our men and women; past, present, and future. Turn what the enemy has meant for evil to Your good for Your purpose and plan. In Jesus' name Amen

Father, I pray for Marine Staff Sgt Mark Gauranke Jr., and all the service members of this conflict - and past wars. Lord make a special place in Your heart for the men and women who risk it all for their friends. Your word declares: "Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." Bless and protect SSgt. Mark Gauranke. In spite of the physical impairments, make him a testimony for Your glory and Kingdom. Protect all of our brothers-and-sisters-in-arms. Bring them home quickly and safely to their families and a greatful country - in Jesus name - Amen!

Dear Lord Jesus- We thank you and praise you for the men and women you have placed in your protectorate system, to guard us against physical conflicts. We ask Lord, you would watch over them, warn them of dangers as necessary and keep them out of harms way, to carry out thier place you have given them to keep us safe. In Jesus Name we pray- Amen!
