Good Glorious Day everyone~

I have another inquiry that I have been debated with my friend of the Catholic denomination. Once again, I respect their believes, including all denominations just as long as there is only one God Almighty we pray to. In any case, we discussed how did the first church came about and I told her what I have read and know from watching movies. I hope my memory serves me correct and if not, please do correct me. I believe that somewhere in the bible it states how Jesus became righteously angry when he saw people marketing (selling) in the Temple (church). Which incidentally, was a man made church by the Roman Catholics. Jesus was not sepcific and told the Roman Catholics to be the one's to built the first church, He in fact said, "I will built the temple again in 3 days" after He saw what happened with the first man made temple. We then, our bodies, became the temple....Please somewhere share scriptures with me on this inquiry. I would greatly appreciate a quick reply.

God bless all,

Illuminate
PS:
Correct me if I am wrong. I want the truth to set me free....

Illuminate- I beg to differ on "Temples" being built by "Roman Catholics". The Roman Catholic religion didn't come into existance until around the 4th century A.D.At some point during the second century A.D. Christian Leaders were started being called "Catholic" alone- means universal. Yes, Christ states He would rebuild the Temple, but wasn't speaking of the building, but a raising of His Body after 3 days and nites His Spirit spent in Hell. Remember, theres a difference between synagogues, Temples and Churchs. synagogues and Temples are of Jewish making, Churches of Gentile making. (Hence the reason the Trib. period refers to "Jacob's Trouble", knowing people are being killed in synagogues- meaning Jews). Keep in mind also, God instructed His "First Chosen" Jews, to make the first "Temple" out of portable materials that could be broken down for resetting, where ever stopped for a time. Thus, they predate Roman Catholic issues even by mileniums.

Thank you Christian Commando,

I apprecitate your response and it all makes sense to me now. See, I never did believe "Roman Catholic's" were the first to built the temple. In fact, that is exactly what I was debating with a friend of mine from the Catholic denomination. There is a misconception about Catholic's being the first to built any temple when in fact, you are correct, christians were the very first people around but I believe some just got a little greedy or so and separated themselves into different denominations, such as the Roman Catholics were the first.

Thank you so very much. I sincerely appreciate this response.
God bless,
Illuminate

Your quite welcome illuminate. The problem today is, too many are discussing such things as that, when the Early Church had been called "Catholic"- universal originally. Back then they concentrated on saving souls and helping them grow in thier relationship with God. Today, religion has divided the "Body of Christ" to where we are discussing to arguing over subjects that really aren't important. God declares we are to love others, as Christ loves the Church. We desperately need to get this back, to where we are helping not hurting each other. Yet, it's apparent man's future needs people like us, concerned about such matters, so long as is done according to God in a loving and compassionate manner Glorifying God. Take care my friend and God Bless!
