Dear Pastor Jerry,

I believe other members of Annointed agree with me that your goodself is looked upon as our father figure. There are two questions I would like to ask , 1. Is it possible for me to commit sin if I am the only ONE person on the planet? 2. When the Lord Jesus drew his last "human" breathe, why did he cry out, "Father why have you deserted me?" Thank you very much in advance for the answer. Other members are also most welcome to give their views. God Bless.

Hello! I found your question very interesting, and would like to offer up a comment if I may? (I know I'm not Pastor Jerry...)
1. Is it possible for me to commit sin if I am the only ONE person on the planet?
Yes, a sole person living on the Earth could easily sin. As a matter of fact they could easily break the greatest commandment:
Mathew 22:37 And he said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. 38 This is the great and first commandment.
A person could also sin by not walking in the calling they have for their life. Being disobedient, etc.
A person could also abuse the resources of Earth, etc. The list can go on, and on...

2. When the Lord Jesus drew his last "human" breathe, why did he cry out, "Father why have you deserted me?"
The reason the Lord Jesus cried this out was because of the fact all sin was placed upon HIM on the cross. Father God cannot look upon sin, and turned away at this time. It was the first, and last time, the Trinity was seperated!

I hope this answered your question!

Hello Bill,

Thanks for your prompt reply. Answering a question asked is like going to the rescue, so thanks Bill. You make me realise I didn't make my first question very clear. It should be, " Is it possible for me to commit sin IF I AM THE FIRST AND THE ONLY HUMAN BEING ON THE PLANET?" If we are talking on the present tense, I will agree to the answer that you gave. But as the question is amended to what it was originally intended, what would be the answer please?

I have asked the second question to some of my friends who are very strong christains, some of whom are pastors. They gave me conflicting answers, some incoherent. I thought the answer has to do with what christains know as - "The Father, The Son , The Holy Spirit". Bill, I believe that, from a true christain point of view, I have a very distorted perception of God. May be you need to know that I was born to a christain family, but I never take myself as qualified to be called a christain unless it is only for namesake. I like and respect people who are religious, and the subject of God is very much in my mind. I imagine that God the Father had to become The Son(of man.To live among man, so he could personally virtually/physically show man the power and glory of God and to tell how man must live according to God's scheme. During crucifiction, He was The Son(of man. In the flesh and blood of mortal man which could feel the pains of torture....so He just let it out "Father why have you forsaken me?") In the next instant He reverted into The Spirit(the Heavenly God). Pardon me Bill, you can say this is a stone-age theory.

I observe that you are among those who are very active in Annointed. Thank you very much. It is people like you who make things happen and going. My folks and I are having an active intellectual discourse over the internet about issues pertaining to social, economic and political matters affecting our community. I am playing the "moderator" role. When I "keep quiet", every body else is quiet. From here I know, you are playing a very important role in annointed. If you have the time, please feel free to write to me. Thank you and God bless.
