Aye! Top of the Morning to you all! Erin Go Bragh!
Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

In the light of this special day, how many of you like Celtic music?

I have Irish and Scottish in my ancestry as well as English and French.

I love Celtic and Irish stuff! I love musicians such as Clannad, Enya, Maire Brennan, Riverdance, Lorena Mckennit, Altan, Solas, Capercallie, The Cheiftains, as well as Christian Celtic greats such as IONA, Edens Bridge, and Isle of Light.

I love U2 and Bono! I think Bono is so cool! I love what he is doing for the people of Africa! He is an awesome servant of God!

I also love Bagpipe rock including Wolfstone, Off Kilter, Seven Nations, Clandestine, Tempest etc.

I often go to Irish, Celtic and Folk festivals as well as the Maryland Renaissance Festival! Huzzah!

My dog and I celebrated St. Patricks Day yesterday at an assisted living facility. One of my Therapy Dog groups had a special St. Patrick's Day party for dogs there to entertain the seniors. They had a ball. Yesterday was my dog's birthday. The local newspaper was even there!

Celtic movies I enjoy include Titanic and Braveheart.

Even Pete, who is unfamiliar with Celtic music ( I have been introducing him to it) can't resist the scene in Titanic when they dance to the bagpipes! He's of German ancestry.

Well enjoy your St. Patrick's Day everyone and may the luck of the Irish be with you all!
When Irish Eyes are smiling!

God Bless You All!

Your sister in Christ

Bless you dear Janet...
Your dog must have passed his test!!!!! What a wonderful gift he is!!!
Yes I love the Irish strains of music....
they seem to sing the call of my soul.
My spirit lifts and dances on wind
to the deep calls of bagpipe and fiddle...

Janet, Celtic music is one of my favorites of all time!!! My sister and I saw a Celtic group perform a few years back that had broken off from Lord of the Dance. I am forgetting what they called themselves now. But it was such a great performance. They combined dance with theatre and their performance was telling a story of their people. It's driving me nuts that I can't think of the name of the group now.

You mentioned "love musicians such as Clannad, Enya, Maire Brennan, Riverdance, Lorena Mckennit, Altan, Solas, Capercallie, The Cheiftains, as well as Christian Celtic greats such as IONA, Edens Bridge, and Isle of Light." I have all these CD's from Enya, Lornena McKennit - I love her. Wish I could see her! Also I have the Cheiftains and there is also a Black Celtic group called "Afro Celts" with music I love. Celtic is just the best music. It is amazing to watch Riverdance and watch them perform and the way they dance.

Janet you've been in my prayers to. I'm aware of all the things you've been going through lately. I think we all feel like we've been under seige lately!

Hi Christy. Well no, my dog has not taken his test yet. He won't have to take it until September. I have more time to get ready. He can still visit until its time for us to renew. Plus, this Therapy Group is different. This is not National Captial Therapy Dogs. It is Pets on Wheels of Anne Arundel County. It's the program in which I take my dog to the hospital every other Friday in.

I'm so glad you are into Celtic music. God Bless You on this great day!

Hey Sulten! Sorry I didn't respond to you sooner. I was called into a meeting and I then went to lunch. I'm so happy to you that you are into Celtic music! It enriches my soul and spirit to hear it! It is so awesome! I own some of the albums and I played some music including IONA and Eden's Bridge during my trip to the Smokies with Rachel along with Country, Folk, and Christian music. I know of Afro Celt Sound System. They are cool. Celtic music is definately the greatest music anywhere! God Bless You on this Saint Patrcik's Day.

Oh Janet, I've been trying all night to remember that group my sister and I saw perform a few years back. I just remembered. They are called Gale Force Dance. They are wonderful to watch.

I love Enya and Clannad. Their music is what got me through college (can't study to music with lyrics- I start singing!)

Happy Saint Pat's Day, Y'all!
