I received this via email and deleted it. I'm just going on memory. I remember most of it. It's really cute.

There was a woman who was happily married and had four wonderful loving sons. She was a devout Christian. Her husband suddenly passed away one day. She raised her sons well. They all went to college, graduated, and all got great jobs. They were all successful and wealthy.

Their mother was beginning to have health problems. She wasn't getting around very well, and her sight wasn't what it used to be.

Her sons decided to do something really nice for her. Her oldest son the doctor, built her a 15 room mansion. He told his brother, the second oldest, what he had done for his mother. His brother decided to do something nice for his mother too. He built a huge home theater that was like a movie theater with surround sound for his mother in her new house. The third son decided to buy his mom a brand new BMW. The youngest had a different idea.

He remembered how much his mother loved to read the Bible when he and his brothers were all kids. Her Bible was her source of strength raising four boys! It was a source of comfort and peace when her husband passed away. Since his mother's eyesight was almost gone, he figured that she really missed reading the Bible.

His church had a parrott that had been trained to memorize the Bible. The parrott could quote any verse in the Bible if requested. He asked the pastor if he could buy the parrott, and the pastor said yes. He had the parrott shipped to his mother.

Mama sent all of the boys a letter.

To my wonderful sons,

Bill, thank you very much for the beautiful house. Since I am old and sick these days, I can't get around it much, so instead of using all 15 rooms, I can only use three, but it's the thought that counts. I love you.

Joe, thank you for the theater. Since most of my friends are dead, I don't have anyone to share it with. It is kind of loud, and it hurts my ears, but it's the thought that counts. I love you.

Stan, thank you so much for the beautiful BMW, but since I don't drive anymore, and don't leave the house that often, it just sits in the driveway. It was the thought that counts. I love you.

Mark, Thank you very much for your thoughtful gift. It was so practical. The chicken was delicious! I love you.
