Terri Schiavo/Candles for Guadalupe?

I was watching the TV report on the latest from Terri Shiavo's parent's attorney and they interviewed a by-stander. He said they even lit candles for Guadalupe. What does that mean? Do you know?

Terri and her family are Roman Catholic. Many of them pray to saints for certain things. This "saint" is supposed to be the Holy virgin Mary (she was supposedly seen in Guadalupe in the 1500's by an Aztec indian and she told this Aztec to tell the bishop to build a temple in her honor and have people worship her). A lot of them pray to her to protect the innocent, like unborn babies that have been aborted and such.

The candle represents Christ. The wax being his sacred flesh (usually they are white and made of pure beeswax to symbolize purity), The wick represents Jesus' human soul, and the flame His divine nature.

It is also used to remind them that God is still the light.

Anyway, I am not catholic so I don't completely understand their reasoning, but apparently they think it works for them.

I hope this answers your question.

Perhaps this situation will turn them to the Living God and they will all be saved??

I know all this is for a REASON!!

Daniel 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

Thanks! Now I know more!

Hugs!
