I didn't really know where to put this thread...

However, you should check the trailer of this new movie out.
It's mindblasting.
Many wonders happened while the movie was shot, I can't wait to see it.
It'll come out in 2004.

This is the one from Mel Gibson, I definately want to see it! I have heard that every non Christian organization imaginable has tried to do something to stop it. I know the Jewish ones don't like it because it shows that they and not the Romans are who actually accused and sentenced Christ to death, which it totally Biblical. From what I hear it is also very realistic and graphic about what Jesus had to truely suffer and people dont like to hear that either. If it is half as good as what I have heard, it will be a tremendous testimony. I have great respect for Mel Gibson as a Christian, and although it is considered Science Fiction, the movie Signs has a very strong Christian message within it dealing with faith and trusting God even when the circumstances seem so out of God's will.

The link works I just tried it.
Click on The Passion for Windows Media and then you should see it when it's loaded.

Hmm...I think I have to watch signs. I refused to cause it's about aliens and stuff but you made me curious.

'Passion' - it's a controversial movie. well what can one say, when it comes to that name "Jesus" - anything can easily turn to be controversial even after 2000 years! what a figure - this name is just so "Awe-inspiring" ... what can one say because He is God who reconciles every one of us - so, there's neither Jews nor Gentiles but all is reconciled by God thru Christ in this Passion - His sufferings and death for human kind. incredible courage - in Love.

so in a way i disagree if some people consider that the Jews alone were responsible and killed Christ. when you think about it

* first and foremost it was Judas the supposedly called a "Christian" who sold him! while the other "Christians" denied Him totally!

*then there's the Jews - His beloved - but with their Jewish priests (pharisees) & lawyers due to their Hypocrisies led His people to feel threatened by this Love & Truth. He didn't even need to preach loudly His message nor to fight / force for His message to be heard, and His own people the Jews felt threatened by Him. He cried for them for Jerusalem for not believing in Him, still does I'm sure.

*then came the Romans the oppressors - with their act of crucifixion as the symbol of the most cruel, sadistic & humiliating of human punishment, they did this act upon Jesus. but man, how He turned this all around to make it a symbol of Hope & Love.... the Italians and many of us now even kiss a crucifix. this Jesus is awesome. - if ever all of us can imitate this Passion of love - His Love. i think He wants and daily teaches us to be so.... if we're willing.

with this basically anyone is guilty of His death! like one person i heard once said, "w/out realising we all killed Him." - true, what it says in the Bible something like - "no one is righteous, everyone is an enemy of God..." - but after the Passion, "..there's neither Jews nor Gentiles but all have been reconciled with God thru Christ Jesus" amazing Grace!

it's "The Greatest STory's ever Told" -- the best thing is it's Truth.

Man, I don't care who was responsible for Jesus' death.
I just wanna see that movie cause it rocks.

I am looking forward to seeing it as well.

Anyway...Judas was a jew. So was Jesus. But no one KILLED Jesus, He gave up the ghost HIMSELF. WE are ALL the reason that He endured suffering.

Yes Jesus gave up His life, and yes we are all responsible for His having to die. But as I said, it tells the truth about who accused Him and hated Him and who feared Him. That is one of the controversies I heard about when they first started filming the movie. From all I have heard, this movie is probably the most Biblically correct and brutally honest portrayl of the last days of His life, for which I applaud all involved in the making of the film. If it wasn't based on truth, there would not be people speaking out against it.

The movie will rock.
I heard that Gibson has had alcohol problems and the press used this against him and spread gossip about him.... let's pray for Mel.

I LOVE the scene where He crushes the snakes head!!!

Anyway, Is only the aramaic language spoken in the film? Will they do the subtitles? I am confused about that.

God bless Mel Gibson!!

Posted by: Frederik

I am not sure, maybe there will be a subtitle. However I think it'll be something different hearing a language which you don't know but I think that you can imagine what's said in the movie.
