After reading the posts here for a while, I am convinced that whatever your religion happens to be, you think it is the only 'right' way to go. I am not a preacher, just a person like you. I have read a number of spiritual things and been to a lot of different churches. I did these things in hope of finding what the 'perfect' religion is. After prayer and meditation, I have finally come to the realization that there is no perfect religion. We all agree we are not perfect, therefore, our interpretation of the Word of God is not perfect. We are human, and we do not understand all that we read because we do not have the understanding level of God. Billions upon billions of people have read the Bible, but you could ask them all to explain the meaning of a chapter or even a verse and you would certainly get more than one interpretation. It doesn't mean those people are not God's children, just that we all have different level of understanding, none perfect. BUT, if you ask those same people what their summation of the entire Bible is, though the words may be different, all would sum up to the same 2 things:
1. Love God
2. Love each other
If we all do those two things, all the rest falls in. It takes faith, understanding, and respect to do those two things. I was raised a Baptist, with a stern preacher who taught that all other versions of Christianity were wrong. I am not critizing him, nor anyone reading this. I am only asking that you open your hearts and let God move on you. We all worship and pray to the same God, can we not do that in different ways? To illistrate:
Two children were playing in the same field of flowers. Both decided to pick and arrange some flowers for their mother. The first just started picking, breaking the stems with his hands. The second walked back to the house and got a pair of scissors. He clipped each stalk with great care. When both brought his flowers to their mother, she loved both, for they both were beautiful and both showed love for her. Even though both boys had different ways of picking and arranging flowers, both showed love for their mother and both recieved equal award. Are we to say God is any different in his unyeilding love?
I feel in my heart that God loves us all and in His wisdom and understanding, knows he blessed us all with different ways of praising Him. He says bad is bad and He makes no distinguishing in our sin, for we are all equal in our failures of perfection, so I must believe that He makes the same indifference in our good.
Before we critize those who believe differently, we must understand that we are all different people, on different paths of God. We are not to judge, so who are we to critize??

Matt 7:1-4
7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.

2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
KJV

This is how we as Christians are to treat each other. Jesus Words not mine. I believe that is how most of the people on this site handle life.

Which is exactly how we should, the problem is a lot of people out there don't. I have had a number of religious people tell me I will go to hell if I don't believe in exactly what they say. They all say different things, so that is why I believe that God can see into your heart and know what exactly your intentions are. That is why I made this post.
God Bless,
Alisha

Alisha,
Your right...Yet, a lot of people judge Christianity by it's followers, and not by the one who it represents - Jesus Christ! Our walk is a individual relationship issue, and each of us has some error in their theology/doctrine - with that being said, shouldn't we all be humble???

The word exhorts us to work out our own Salvation with fear, and trembling. It also encourages us to not lean upon our own understanding...

If we walk in Love - as the Lord has commanded - and let the Holy Spirit do the convicting, we as a Church would be sooo much farther ahead!

Praise God, because I believe that time is coming!

Your brother in Christ!

A very wise person once said, "If you find the perfect church--don't join it. You'll ruin it!"

Our Pastor say this: "There is one of two reasons people don't go to church--either they never met a 'Christian'; or, they have!"

God bless!
