Please Praye For Our Friend Ryan

Ryan's follow up appt for his shoulder deal was today. Both our doctor and one of his colleagues checked him over. He has some scoliosis, but they are still unsure about the other part so they are scheduling an MRI. It should be either tomorrow or Monday. They will be checking for soft tissue masses in that area.

After we got home we started thinking about his braces and whether or not he could even do the scan so Ryan called Dr. Blakeburn and asked him about it. Apparently it can loosen the glue on the braces so we are hoping maybe they will get him in tomorrow because he already has an orthodontist appt tomorrow afternoon in case anything has to be fixed there. Just one more thing to have to worry about.

Please keep Ryan and us in your prayers. Ryan is very nervous about the whole MRI procedure and we are all concerned about what they might find.

Please put Joshua Sorter(Susan Farmer's grandson, Kelsey's son) in your prayers also. They got the news today that he has a form of muscular dystrophy.

UPDATE: Ryan's MRI is re-scheduled for Monday at 2:15 pm. I am praying all is well.

Thank You, God, for the opportunity to pray for others. Thank You for the friends You put in our lives. Thank You for all of the blessings You bestow on us. Please help the doctors entrusted in Ryan's care to determine the best course of action. Please help Ryan to remain calm leading up to this procedure. Please help the technician to help him to be at ease. Please send an angel to comfort Ryan, Tracy, Gene and Austin during this time. Please continue to bless them and watch over baby Grayson as he grows bigger and stronger every day. Thank You.

Lord- We lift up Ryan and Joshua to you. We pray, you knowing thier particular needs, that you would intercede in each case and make all things work out. We ask that you might bring healing where needed and a peace to thier minds and parents also, that you are in control. In Jesus Name- Amen!!

My friend Tracy writes:

We got wonderful news on Friday as I was leaving town for the boy's Academic Meet. There are no soft tissue masses in Ryan's shoulder. The scoliosis(10% curvature) is causing the muscles to shift over and make his shoulders look uneven. The dr says as he grows it should improve and they will just keep an eye on it. For now, we consider our prayers answered and we thank you for keeping us in your prayers.

A little update on the Academic Meet. There were 972 6,7, and 8th graders there and they took 1,013 tests. Ryan placed 11th in 8th grade science. Austin's tests were all 6th grade and he placed 6th in Humanities, 7th in language arts, 7th in social studies, 13th in Science, 17th in Math(he wasn't happy about it, it was mostly algebra and he's just getting started with algebra at school), and 25th in Current Events. We are extremely proud of both of them. Many of these schools have g/t classes and afterschool activities to prepare the kids for these meets, Clinton does not.

Thanks again for all your prayers. We appreciate them more than you know.
