URGENT!! My Friend's Husband Was Shot, Please Pray

THANK YOU, LORD, Paul was not killed!!

Here's where I need y'all to get in the trenches and PRAY!
My friend Theresa's husband is an atheist. I have been praying daily for him to come to know Jesus Christ as his personal guardian and saviour. Paul believes that his blessings (and they are MANY!) are by his works and perseverence and not God's grace. He was in Iraq last year and by the grace of God, returned home safely. This deployment he is in Afghanistan. Theresa and I talk on the phone daily and some of Paul's arrogance has rubbed off on her as she told me,"See? Paul doesn't have the Lord and he does just fine." I then told her I had a confession; I had registered him on the Presidential Prayer Team website and 16 people adopted him to pray for him!
Today she called me to tell me Paul was shot in the leg; it appears his injuries are not life-threatening. Thank You, God! OK, Prayer Warriors, Please join me in praying that during his MEDEVAC experience, God sends someone to witness to him. I have been praying for a breakthrough daily and I am hoping this is it. I pray that God sends an angel to watch over Paul and that Paul finally comes to know Jesus Christ.

Dear God,
THANK YOU for sparing Paul's life. Thank You for the quick-responding medic. Thank You for keeping the others in his team safe. Please send someone to witness to Paul and bring him to know You. Please help Paul to know that Your Son, Jesus Christ died for his sins and that his sins are forgiven. Please help him to know that You are always watching over us and that You are always in control. Please help him to know that You have a purpose for his life and that when he allows You to be first in his life, he will truly be free! Thank You, God. In Jesus' Name I Pray.

Father I stand in the gap with Sharyn and declare Salvation to Paul! Do not allow the enemy to have him! Thank You for keeping him alive because while wounded he can be still long enough to listen to the Spirit! Holy Spirit work in Paul's heart and life to bring him to Jesus for Salvation! Healing for his wounds, and Deliverance from his arrogance and blindness concerning God! Touch his Family and keep them safe while he is gone from them and lead them to Jesus for refreshing every day as they go about their lives. Jesus! show Paul Your Love. AMEN!

Sharyn, my husband had a friend like that and said he prayed everyday for him for about 2 years and his friend found the Lord after 2 years. My parents kept praying for me and it took some time, but I had my life eventually turned around as a result of prayer. I will pray for Paul and Theresa and keep them in my prayers.

Dear Heavenly Father, I stand in agreement for Paul and Theresa. I pray that each of them will have a powerful witness in some way through someone that will reach them and touch their hearts. I pray that You will spare Paul's life and send angels to guard and protect him every minute. I pray that he will have a chance to understand what it is he is so disbelieving. I pray that he might have the strength to exercise faith as a grain of mustard seed and trust in You and have a mighty change of heart and conversion to Jesus Christ. No matter what it takes or how long, I ask in agreement that You keep working in these lives, in Jesus Holy Name amen.

Dear Lord Jesus- I pray for Paul, that you won't have to take everything from him as ytou did the man of Old Test times, to show that it was you, not him, who has been Blessing him all along. We pray Lord, do bring another, be it person or your Angel to watch over, protect and Minister to him, that he might realize the Truth, thus bringing him to Salvation and a life in you, thru Christ and by the Holy Spirit. O dear gracious God, please send a witness to Paul during this terrible time. He needs Jesus! Please allow Sharon's prayers to be answered. Please lead Paul to your truth and have him accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. Help him to see that it was by your grace, that he was not killed. Humble his heart O Lord. Now that he has been knocked off his pedistal, send people to testfy and minister to him as he suffers. Have him learn about your love, grace and mercy. I plead with you in Jesus name I pray, Amen.

I talked to Theresa today. She talked to Paul earlier, he is in Germany right now. He was shot in the right thigh, the bullet tore up his thigh bone (femur) causing fractures and then went into his left leg, did some damage, exited his body and went into one of his teammates' ankle. They took cover and the teammate performed first aid, applying a tourniquet to Paul's leg, then administering first aid to himself. All the while they were under heavy fire. Paul's leg will be put together with a rod and some braces that look like tomato stakes so his leg can heal. Thank God! Paul's femural arteries were not hit!
All Paul could think about was whether the helicopter would be able to get him before he bled to death. His fear was dying before being MEDEVAC'd.
I was so sad for him that he didn't even know to call on the Lord. He was out there with no hope, no faith. He was "jumping with a hay bale".
Please continue to pray that someone ministers to him during his time in the military hospital. Please pray that he is free from infection. Please pray that God uses this time to draw Paul to Him and shows him that it was God's grace and not "luck" that saved him!

O dear God, please lead Paul to your truth! he needs to know it! Please humble his heart as you convictly let him know that if it weren't for you, he wouldn't have lived. Of course I plead with you that he does live so that he can see your goodness and grace and therefore turn over his life to Christ. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Sharyn, God kept these men alive for a reason! THAT THEY MANY KNOW HIM!!! I stand in agreement with the prayer you posted.

Father God, give him dreams and visions! Send spirit filled Christians his way! Overshadow him with your Holy Spirit and soak him in your love and peace! I speak forth healing upon his body and mind today and a speedy and full recovery! I bind, mute and rebuke spirits of unbelief and doubt that keep the light of the gospel from entering in. Tenderize his heart, LORD, show him the Way, the Truth and the Life!! AMEN!!!

 And the prayer of faith shall save him, and the Lord shall raise him up. (James 5:15)

For I will restore health to him, and I will heal his wounds, says the LORD. (Jeremiah 30:17)

Theresa talked to Paul about the incident. He stormed an enemy bunker and is considered a respected hero by his upper chain-of-command. Paul is very humble in his service, but not humble to the Lord. This is going to be a tough one, fellow Prayer Warriors. I told them in Sunday school today that I am wearing my knees out on this situation, but I agree that if Paul will submit to the Lord, he can do God's work in a big way!
I pray that the Lord put a "slow down" on Paul's recovery so that he has to think about his future and that someone will break through his macho exterior.
Theresa had asked him if he thought about God while he was laying under cover. Paul answered,"Nope. I can't think about that. That's what gets people killed.You can'y be worrying about that stuff because you don't focus on your job, you make mistakes."

Dear God,
Please help Paul to know that when You are in his life, there is no worry about death. When You are in control, the job is easier. Please send an angel to comfort him and please send someone to minister to him and be a witness for You. Please burden his heart and draw him to You. Thank You!

Dear Lord- Help Paul to know, if depends on you God, he will be watched over, protected and guided more safely than any regiment or battalion of men could do it. In Jesus Name- Amen!!

LORD JESUS my heart cries out for this man! I have been to Iraq and i know how hard it can be espeiacally with out JESUS. Lord i pray you find this man and comfort him and give him a love he has never felt before. Lord i pray you send him a christian servant. Lord also i pray for a hedge of protection around him and keep him safe and give a peace and comfort for this wife and let her know that you have it in your hands.


All these things we pray in JESUS NAME AMEN.

I talked to Theresa this morning. Paul has to remain in the hospital an additional 10 days!
Dear God,
Please use these extra days in the hospital to send someone to find Paul and minister to him. Please soften his heart to You and help him to be receptive of a witness who will direct him to Your word and love. Please open his heart and eyes to Your many blessings and help him to know he was not "lucky" in surviving the ambush. Thank You, Father, for sparing Paul's life. I ask that he be brought to a saving knowledge of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Thank You. Amen.

Dear Lord-Yes, i agree. Please send some to the hospital to minister to him, durinf this time, please unclogg his ears, and soften his heart to hearing you through them.Please put conviction on his heart so he will begin to seek you & make the decision to accept Christ. As MarkSentMe says, i do not believe it was luck that saved him, it was You and ONLY You. Let him know he was spared to come to serve You! Let him begen to come to the realization he needs to repent and accept Your Son,Jesus. Amen!
