MAY DAY! MAY DAY!
A Call to Intercession for the West Coast of the U.S.
Sunday, May 1, 2005 is the day intercessors will gather from all walks and areas to join in one cry for the west coast of the United States. Our hope is to cry aloud to the Lord for His help and hand in all that happens along the coastline.
Sunday, May 1, 2005 at 3:00 P.M. PST. If you can, travel to the coastline of the Western United States anywhere from Southern California to the Aleutian Islands in Alaska. (This includes Western Canada). If you can't travel to the coastline, pray where you are at on the same day/time.
The nautical term 'May Day' is from the French word m'aider which translates literally "help me". This translation from the French was deliberate and not a corruption of the word through the years. It dates back to the 1927 International Radio Telegraph Convention when it's use was codified.
It was interesting to me that earlier this morning, April 18, 2005, an earthquake occurred on the west coast of France (4.7). I discovered this after I learned the origin of the term 'May Day'. I also learned that the United State's Coast Guard Motto is : "Semper Paratus - Always Ready". This is what I believe the Lord is saying to us at this hour......watch and pray and be ready!
The response to the call at the Prayer Summit was overwhelming and we are grateful to the Lord for His call going to so many intercessors throughout the U.S. and the world. Thank you for your obedience and response to pray!
My heart is broken for the children they keep finding abused and dead on our soil and the blood of the innocents that cries out as well. God, cause a swell of repentance to flood this land and our tears to fall into the soil as we pray for the mercy that comes through the blood of your Son which fell freely from the cross to the land and into our hearts.
In conclusion, I thought I should share a dream from a Native American intercessor who attended the summit. A few years ago she had an open vision of what she thought at first was a plane flying from the east to the west of the United States. As it neared she realized it was an eagle but had something silver in it's talons which she supposed might be a bullet. As it came into view she realized it was a silver fish and the eagle began to slow and stop towards the northern part of the U.S. She knew as this happened that something had to happen first and she saw a hornet appear and fly across.....at which point the eagle continued to the Pacific Ocean and dropped the fish. This caused an enormous wave (tsunami) and the vision ended. When she shared this with us, we began to search out hornet in the Bible (I thought it would have a negative meaning but this wasn't so). Three times in scripture we find the Lord sent hornets ahead to destroy the enemy and his tactics.
To us this was a clear message that the Lord will send His help as we pray and ask Him for mercy. This date, May 1st, precedes the National Day of Prayer (May 5th) and the International Day of Prayer (May 15th) where we may all join together once again and intercede on behalf of our nation and the world. Please pray with us and tell others you know who will pray to go to the coast or gather where He leads and pray!
Godspeed!

Father, We come to you and ask your intervention in this earthquake and tsunami that came from the prophets. Lord, we ask that you will take all the prayers for safekeeping of this area, and multiply them exponentially and pray them forward.
Lord, we ask that this Nation is turned back to you, and that the rulers will rule according to your word, and the people will vote according to your will and that they will pray and seek your Face. Lord, we ask for a miracle, and we pray for protection to those within reach of this disaster. Father, move mightily in stopping or lessening this, and calling your children to pray! It is in the name of Jesus we ask...AMEN
