Father, I can but echo Pope Benedict's last line of his homily...

Throw open the doors to Christ!

Lord draw the lost to Your Son in Salvation and hope! Draw the leaders of the Nations to Jesus the Anointing. Draw the leaders of the churches to Jesus! Swing wide the gates and pour out Your Son into the hearts of the lost and hurting world. Pull from the sea of death men and women who understand and turn to Life Heaven. Remove the fear that the lost have of Jesus! Remove the fear that they will somehow lose something they value or desire. Remove the barriers to heaven and let them have ears to hear and eyes to see that Jesus does not take from them! show them that He gives them heaven and freedom. Open the doors to the christ Lord and bring the laborers into the fields and onto the seas to harvest the lost from the hands of the enemy. Lord! Send more laborers. Bless the new Pope and guide his hand and heart in the doctrine he will put forth from the Papal throne. Give him ears to hear Your Voice and eyes to see Your Glory. Give him a heart that beats after Yours oh Lord! make him hungry and thirsty for more of You! Hold him over the fire and make him desperate to seek Your Face. Dwell in him and show him how to dwell in You. Cover him with Your Blood and Anoint him Daily with the Christ. Give him men around him who will hear Your voice and speak Your Words to him as he seeks daily to guide the Catholic Church. And Lord, help them find a way to place a piano in the Papal apartments so that he can play songs of worship to You and praise You with the song in his times alone with You. Thank You Lord. In the Name of Jesus! AMEN!

To remove any debate on whether we should be praying for the Pope, here is the Administrations views on Catholics from another thread.

The question was
Are Catholics considered to be Christians on this site.
It is interesting to me that no one asked the Leadership what we believed.

Please read this whole post then you will know how the Leadership feels about Catholics on this site.

Now To all my Catholic Brothers and Sisters on this board.
Jan & I want you to know we love you.

So please do not be offended by the emotions of so many others.
I just wanted to step in here and say we love you guys.

Now to my Protestant friends.
When thinking on the Body of Christ I like to think the diversity God gave us is wonderful.

The way I look at all Catholics is what their stated creed is.
I wish all people who say they are Christians believe all of this.

I believe in God the Father Almighty,
Creator of Heaven and Earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit
and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried.
He descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again.
He ascended into heaven and is seated
at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church,
the Communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body and life everlasting. Amen
Catholic means (universal or body of Christ)

Now as to Mary what does the word say:
The annunciation in the Gospel of Luke says all generations are to call her blessed.

LUK 1:46 And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord,
LUK 1:47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.
LUK 1:48 For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.
LUK 1:49 For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy [is]his name. LUK 1:50 And his mercy [is] on them that fear him from generation to generation. 1:51 He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. 1:52 He hath put down the mighty from [their] seats, and exalted them of low degree. 1:53 He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away. 1:54 He hath holpen his servant Israel, in remembrance of [his] mercy; 1:55 As he spake to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed for ever. 1:56 And Mary abode with her about three months, and returned to her own house.

Remember even the Angel of the Lord came for God and said:
LUK 1:28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, [thou that art] highly favoured, the Lord [is] with thee: blessed [art] thou among women.


Remember the greeting of her aunt Elisabeth
LUK 1:41 And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost: 1:42 And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed [art] thou among women, and blessed [is] the fruit of thy womb.

I personally do not pray to Mary because Jesus is my Advocate but I do Bless and Honor her because she is the mother of Jesus and because the Word says to.

Now as to the rest:
It is ok to place information here but please remember not to try and take up a cause There are Catholics who are saved just like there are Baptist and Assembly of God people saved. You are not saved by denomination you are saved by the blood of Jesus Christ through faith.

Each denomination has something different about it. Their history is they formed because they believe in something different than what they came out of and they wanted the communion of like minded saints or believers to fellowship with. That does not make them better. Now please do not bring us the persecution of one group of people to others

That had nothing to do with Christ. There are many men in the Protestant denominations who tortured people including John Calvin as well as the Catholics. Many people have made many mistakes but God had nothing to do with it.


So My Dear Friends please be patient with me. I am not pointing anything at anyone. As some of you have expressed your personal feelings as the leader of the board I must do the same so people will understand where the leadership of this board stands.

We can point out error in any denomination. Baptist do not believe miracles are for today Pentecostals do. Baptist believe once you are saved you are always saved Lutherans, Episcopalians, Methodists do not. But thousands get saved every year in Baptist churches and in Methodist churches etc. I do not think Our Precious Lord is upset with any of them.

Almost all denominations have the infallibility clause in their statement of faith. They call it unity and submission. When any denomination issues a statement of faith and says to be a minister or member you must believe these things. They are saying they have heard from God and it is infallible.

What I love about this site is the diversity and the love and unity we can have for one another.

We honor our pastors and leaders of denominations just as Catholics honor the priest and Pope. It is our diversity that makes us strong.

So to my Catholic friends, thank you for being part of our family and we Love and respect you very much.

I am sorry for the bitterness I feel in some of my leadership here.
I have received emails from ex-baptist, methodists, lutherans and presbyterians saying the same things about their denominations.

So let's stop the silliness of differences and pray for unity.

Dear God,
Please help Pope Benedict XVI to unite people of all faiths. Please help him to spread Your word, that it is all about YOU!! Please help him to encourage all Christians to Share Jesus Without Fear and to see You in everything and every day. Thank You! In Jesus' Name I Pray. Amen.

Father, I pray for this man, who serves as the head of this faith. Lord, I ask that you will direct his steps and his life, and show him the beauty of your Love and the glory of your plan of Salvation. Father, let him call the world to repentence and direct them straight to Jesus. Lord, Let the World break open with your truth. Father, it is in the Name of Jesus, I ask. AMEN

Did someone read the dream on here about the restrainer being removed when Pope John Paul II died? Well, it was prophesied by Bishop from Ireland (a Catholic) some years ago that the 112th Pope would turn from conservatism.... that would be the NEXT Pope. Benedict is the 111th.... The prophesy said (well, it was actually a vision) that the 112th Pope would take the name Peter.... a name no Pope has ever dared take, because, Peter, the apostle, whom they consider the first Pope, is held in too much reverence.... SO: It is very important to pray for Benedict the XVI!!! I heard this on "Jack VanImpre Presents...." tonight. He is the man who discusses prophesy in light of the news. Now, he is not a Catholic hater; he really liked Pope John Paul II. His point is: Could this next Pope be the anti-Christ? You see, the liberals in the church will like him, and think he's all of that, because he turns against the pro-life stance and the anti-homosexual stance and so on.... the things the liberal Catholics want. So, Bendedict could be the only thing between the church and the anti-Christ. This just seemed too important not to share.

Lord, I am humbled by the last words of Benedict XVI's homoly. Would that we all were so passionate aobut You! Wow! Lord, I pray he will not say that the Catholic church is the one true church, which is something I heard he had said. Let him embrace his brothers and sister's in other churches. Let us all come into the unity of the faith! I pray that the fire of the Holy Ghost will burn through him and through the Cahtolic church and through ALL churches, as my church needs a BIG dose of that, too. I pray that we may be united in ONE Spirit.... The Holy Spirit. So many saying The Spirit is but a force or a power, not a BEING, but the Catholic church has NEVER said that. Lord, bring the TRUTH of The Holy Spirit -- in ALL His power and glory -- to the attention of every believer! Lord, let this Pope's strong stand for what's right be an example to the entire world. I wish they would say priests can marry, as this IS Biblical. And, perhaps, this 111th Pope can see the truth on that and can preach that STRAIGHT FROM YOUR WORD. I pray Your greatest blessings upon him, and may he be used to show Your glory to the entire world. In Jesus Name, amen.

Oh Father, bless this Pope with your Strength. Father, hold him in the palm of your hand. Anoint him to preach the gospel and call all to you. We learn now that this Pope is the one who wrote most of Pope John Pauls sermons and wrote the new catechism. Lord, he was the Holy Spirit filled friend and helper of Pope John Paul. Lord, I ask that you will call millions to your throne quickly. Father, time is short. This World needs you! Father, let people go and share the Love of Jesus with people throughout the world and let us all bow down before you, as one and only one(also called catholic..no caps) universal church. Lord, let your children love you and love one another! Father, give this Pope long life and let your Spirit of Joy flow to those who are broken hearted. Lord, lead all people to Christ! In the Name of Jesus we ask. AMEN and AMEN

Father, I pray Your protection on this Pope. I pray Your favor upon Benedict XVI. Lead him to preach ALL TRUTH, and lead many home so Your Son, Jesus Christ for salvation, through the conviciton of the Holy Spirit. Use this man to help unify the churches/denominations. Let him embrace ALL believers in Jesus Christ and reject none. Let us come into the unity of the faith. Keep him alive and strong, perchance this propehsy about the anti-Christ is so. Give him many successful years. In Jesus Name, amen.

Lord, give us all a passion for You like this Pope has expressed. Let Benedcit XVI truly grow closer to Christ each day. I pray his life is a bright and shining light and example for You. Lord, let Your will be done in his life. Let him preach only what YOU tell him to preach. Let him reject any teachings that are not Biblical. Let him embrace ONLY The Word of God in what he says. Father, let him preach the truth that says the leadership should be the husband of one wife, not so they can have more priests, but simply because it is YOUR truth. Let him reach out to ALL believers in Christ and not hold to the belief that the Catholic church is the "one true church." The BODY of Christ -- anyone who has accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior through believing in the death and resurrection of Jesus for the forgiveness of sins -- is the one true church. We all members of the same body. I pray this is what he will say. Bring us into the unity of the fatih. Let him embrace all who are not of the spirit of anti-Christ, all of us who say Jesus IS the Son of God, indeed Jesus IS God. Lord, let him have a legacy that he did not exclude anyone who believed in Jesus Christ. Lord, let him truly come into the King's chamber, and there let him be taught all truth by The Still Small Voice, The Holy Spirit speaking in his spirit. I pray and ask, in Your Name, amen.

At this papal discussion there will also be confusion but the Catholic Church shall also be known as Mine. I’m about to take the parakletos and give it to them. I speak of My Holy Spirit. I speak of the Holy Spirit shall be given to the Roman Catholic Church. I will put in the papal and into the pope a spirit of jealousy. He will be jealous and he will say God must be God. And they will say you cannot change it. It’s going to stay the way it is. But you watch over a three-year period how I will change things and they will say there is only one God. There is only one saint. There is only one God and he is the Lord Jesus Christ. For this shall be a miraculous invasion of millions of people that shall be taken care of.

So be it, Lord! Let it be done! Standing in agreement as spoken by the prophet of the Lord!

Lord, shower Benedict XVI with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places. I pray he may know intimate oneness with You. I pray he will be filled with The Holy Spirit, to overflowing. I pray he will have many of the gifts of The Spirit. I pray he will be a mighty minister for You, in sharing this precious message of The Holy Spirit with ALL Catholics. Let this be a time for revival in the Catholic church -- not just those who follow a ritual and form, but those who are deeply in love with Jesus Christ! Let Catholic's be visiting The King's Chamber in this new wave of The Spirit that is coming into the Vatican and the Catholic church. Let it be done! In Jesus Name, amen.

Lord, he is working toward the unity of ALL Christians. The one unasnwered prayer of Jesus was that all would be in unity! Father, this man is right on track with Your will. Let The Holy Spirit flow through the Catholic church, and let The Holy Spirit unite ALL Chrisitians into one, that we may join in the end time evangelization of the world. Remove this "I am of the Catolic church," "I am of the Pentecostal church," "I am of the Baptist churc," rift! Let us ALL be of Jesus Christ, and let us IN HIM lay our arguments to rest. In Jesus Name, amen, Father.

I pray for unity in the children of God. I pray for Pope Benedict XVI. Grant him wisdom that comes directly from You, and the strength to follow through on the knowledge that You give him. I thank You Father that we will all pass through Your gates, regardless of our denomination with Jesus as our Guide.
