Prayer for Endurance

I am in the middle of the busiest time of my life...and yet God has filled me with peace about everything I'm doing. Teaching. Going to Bible college. Working with the youthgroup. Leading Bible Study. None of it sounds like it's going...at least not any time soon.

I'm tired, though. Physically exhausted. Perhaps it's part of God breaking me down further? Relying on him? Or maybe I need to learn to make better use of my time. I'm open to whatever he has to tell me.

Please pray for endurance for me? And for me to use my time according to his Wisdom...and to keep offering the first part of my day to him--whether or not I am encouraged. But having him encourage me in that would mean a lot, too.

Thanks,
Damascus Girl

I heard in a sermon last sunday that the pastor gives home group leadership time off from leading Bible studies. Because like you said, they get exhausted. We need to do the practical things to stay refreshed, we need to rest once in a while. The church is full of people who do nothing and those who do too much. There needs to be balance. Pray about taking a break once in a while. God bless.

Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Psalm 68:35 Oh God, you are mighty out of your holy places: the God of Israel is he that gives strength and power unto his people. Blessed be God.

Isaiah 40:29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

Dear Lord, grant this person wisdom, peace, strength. Let your will be done above all, in your name, amen.

Father, lift up your daughter and grant her peace and joy, strength and wisdom, endurance and faith. Help her to do everything she does, say everything she says for Your glory alone. Search her heart constantly and remove anything that may find its way there that is not of You. Protect her Lord from the crafty lies of Satan, and keep her ever vigil to his attacks. Open up her heart that she may let You in, and keep it swept clean as a proper home for You. Lord lead her to the one You have chosen for her, to make her physically complete to go with the spiritual completeness that You have wraught in her. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
