What kind of people were they and why do so many claim that Jesus went to the essenians before he started his ministry? This is absurd. But the people believe this stuff.

Some people also believe he spent his teen years in India learning about Buddha. That doesn't make it true, that just shows how the enemy tries to pervert the Word of God.
It really doesn't matter what other people believe Fredrick, that is between them and God alone. The only thing that should matter to you in the long run is what do YOU believe.
The Essen's were a group of Jewish extremists that hid in the desert during the Roman occupation much like the Muslim extremists of today they harassed and killed the 'Occupiers of Israel' at every opportunity. I think the Masada group were Essenes. John the Baptist is said to have been one of them. Jesus could have visited them at any time during his life. This does not mean he ascribed to their teachings or beliefs.

Those people which believe Jesus went to the Essenians simply try to find an explanation other than that he's God's son. Only non-believers come up with this trash.

Good job!

But when I read or hear somebody say such things then it affects me somehow and drags me down. I feel like they are trying to mock Jesus and I cannot do anything against it. I feel helpless in such a situation.

I understand how you feel.
But you have to resolve in your heart and mind that people will believe what they choose to believe and there is NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT. It is difficult, I know, because you want them to know the truth and you know they are wrong and it can be frustrating.
Again, you must resolve and settle in your own heart and mind that Jesus fully capable to fulfilling His mission to build His church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it. Utimately all we can do is PRAY! Pray for healing, pray for salvation, pray for whatever is necessary.
I'm talking about our response to how people believe, not about good works, which is a result of our faith and love of God.

I don't mind what they believe as long as I don't have to hear or read it.
But when I have to hear or read it then it upsets me. This stuff makes me sick.
