A Fathers Day Prayer

LET'S PRAY FOR FATHER'S DAY -
As we all start preparing, here in the United States and in some other countries for this Father's Day weekend, may you and I join in prayer that ALL prodigal Fathers will come to their senses, escaping from the trap of the devil, repenting and turning from their sinful ways. I pray that our Lord God will have a mighty harvest of souls this special Father's Day weekend.
Many Fathers have chosen to give into their own selfish feelings, emotions and personal desires instead of being obedient to their Lord God. Many men have left their wives and children to "get on with their own life," leaving a broken, wounded and hurting wife and children. Let's pray that spouses and loved ones will fast and pray for ALL prodigal fathers to come home to the Lord and back to their families suddenly this weekend.
There are so many children who do see their father daily or regularly. Pray that all fathers will assume the responsibility in raising and loving their children in spite of marriage problems and work them out. Nothing is too hard with our Lord God. I pray that you will check your own spiritual heart and make certain you personally have not been wounded or rejected by your own earthly Father or other male loved ones as a child. If you were wounded, you need to forgive them and ask your Heavenly Father to heal your wounded, broken, crushed heart and spirit. We want you to know that your Heavenly Father can heal any and all parts of your past.
Pray that our Lord God will remind every prodigal spouse of all the scriptures that they ever learned when they were a child or a teenager. As you are preparing for Father's Day, ask the Lord to remind all fathers who are away from their children of previous Father's Days with their family. May the Holy Spirit speak to their hearts reminding every prodigal father of good times with their spouse and children and turn their hearts toward home! People, our Lord God wants all moms and dads, wives and husbands to remaine married, working through their problems or differences and knowing that God created marriage and you are now one-flesh. There are severe consequences to separation and divorce! Our children of all ages need their parents home together! They are the innocent victims of divorce.
"He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers...." Malachi 4:6
"Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord Almighty." Zechariah 4:6
"And he will go on before the Lord, in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to their children and the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous—to make ready a people prepared for the Lord." Luke 1:17
My prayer is that every father this week will remember when they were planning and expecting their children. May every fathers remember the excitement of all the special times in their children lives. The birth of their children, or when their children were being dedicated to the Lord or their children's birthdays. May the Holy Spirit reveal to each prodigal what it means to be "a Father" to their children, by being with them 24-hours a day. I pray that the Lord will show and speak to each father that every child need their fathers home now! May our Lord reveal to every Father that they need to be caring, nurturing, teaching and guiding their children's footsteps to follow the Lord and the right pathway of their lives. May all fathers who are away from their family realize that they need to go home and be the spiritual head of their homes. God can heal, restore, rebuild your marriage to be all that it should have been and God can do it!
"Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you." Jeremiah 32:17
As we pray for all the fathers who are not with their families, may we also remember that we have a Heavenly Father who loves and cares for you every day of your life. We also need to pray and thank the Lord for all the fathers and male standers who are not allowed to be with their children daily as their wife wanted "her freedom or she will not forgive you of some bad choices." There are so many godly men that we work with that are praying for their wife's heart to touched by their Heavenly Father. Dads, don't ever give up on you wife or being with your children at every opportunity to show your love and care for them. Your Heavenly Father hears your cries. God's timing will be perfect. Lean on your Heavenly Father to get through these difficult days. He will meet you in a new deeper personal way, if you cry out "Abba, Father."
We also want to salute the fathers who are raising and primarily taking care of their children due to their marriage problems. We have many awesome mighty men of God who have assumed the responsibility of primarily raising their children. May God direct your every footstep raising your children in a Christian home praying for their mother to come back home.
Fathers, we pray that this week you will examine your relationship with your children regardless of their age and take an opportunity to spend alone time with each child showing them how special they are to you individually. If you can not get together because of the miles, pick up the telephone and tell your children how much you love them. Your example will pass on to another generation, so don't hide your love, because your children need your love and acceptance. "Love never fails." I Corinthians 13:8
