marriage restoration

I need prayer for the restoration of my marriage,my wife left 8 days ago,i was physically and emotionally abused as a boy and this turned me into a controlling man. we are christians but i never opened up to anyone at church, because of my past something inside kept telling me "if you let people in to really get to know you youll be hurt again" i built up a wall around me controlling my wife and being abusive to her, oh god it makes me sick, that i hurt this precious woman,i didnt ever release this pain until last sun. to my pastor and confessed to god,my pastor said this was a controlling spirit meant to decieve you and ruin your marriage.to make matters worse she served me with divorce papers today, at the same time i recieved a letter stating the job i desperately need was given to another.i have talked to my wife and asked her not to leave our church, i will set onthe other side and not speak with her unless she wants.she accepted,to work in the nursery,which she did twice a month whilewe were together,i want to be the man god wants me to be, the old is dead,i will show her thru my actions not my words. please help in jesus name

Lord, Les needs a LOT of healing. Only when he becomes complete in You can he become ONE in a marriage. Two halves do not make a whole; it takes two people who are whole to make marriage work. I pray that Les takes this time to let You heal him. I pray he becomes complete in You. Let him work on HIMSELF as an individual, becoming emotionally secure and healthy in YOU. Then, once he learns to trust You as he should, he can learn to trust people. Show him how this works. Show him that he needs to fall deeply in love with You and let You love on him and heal him, so he can, then, love his wife as he is supposed to. I pray for a breakthrough in Jesus Name!

Les my brother on CHRIST
I am in a similar situation and have also confessed to my anger and frustration from my past. You have begun a road that mey at times be verydifficult as you as I have to look at yourself and that is not easy. Your decision to talk to you pastor was a good start and your admission of the problem is a start. We must prove to our spouses yhay we have changed and that may take some time for I feel we have both hurt them very badly. We must show them that the reactions and actions we took were not against them but lashing out against our past. Les I pray GOD enter both of our hearts, minds and beings to change us from the core of our being and that we can be the men, husbands and fathers HE wants us to be. FATHER GOD I pray for Les that he continue to look at himself and change those things about him (ANGER - CONTROL) that he can and FATHER that he forgive himself as you have already forgiven him. lord i ALSO PRAY FOR HIS WIFE THAT SHE NOT leave your house and that they both continue in YOUR word and pray but also FATHER that the look to YOU for all their needs physical, financial, emotional and spiritual now and always. FATHER no matter the out come I ask you keep Les and his wife close to you so that when they are reconciled all will see that YOU deserve all the hono4r,praise and glory for their reconcilliation. These things I pray in the name of JESUS CHRIST our LORD and SAVIOR for it is HIS blood that saved us and by the stripes HE bore for us that we are healed of all sin and infirmity and as YOUR children we must believe, trust and have faith in YOU and the promises YOU have made ... "ISA54:17" & HIS word "I will never leave you or foresake you ...."

Father heal this marriage. Lead this couple to counseling at the church. Heal his emotionally. Show him how to be a husband. In Jesus' holy name AMEN
