Call On Your Name
When my world seems to be caving in,
And it seems I'm walking on sinking sand;
When I can't find peace on this earth,
I reach out for your promises grand.
In the scriptures I seek your guidance,
I draw strength from your word;
It brings me to a spiritual serenity,
In You alone I find harmony in my soul.
A tranquility beyond all reason,
Such reassurance in Your promises;
A peacefulness comes over my soul,
And my heart yearns for so much more.
If I but place all my burdens,
Upon your shoulder there;
Tranquility pours forth from you,
And you gently ease away each care.
Like a cool, sweet taste of water,
For a weary and thirsty man;
My heart finds peace, my soul is calm,
When I reach out and call on your name.
