I have been burdened with discouragement and depression over a particular issue in my life. It has been hindering my walk with God for many years. I need prayer for encouragement to get passed this issue, enough to move ahead in my Walk. Pray the Lord encourages me in this area of my life. Thanks!

I can associate with this. i too battled with depression over lots of things- but God has to undo what the world has done sometimes, certainly it was in my case.
Has the Lord been comforting you within your depression? Has He blessed and continued to guide you through your feelings and emotions? Have you felt His mighty hand in your life? I pray that the Lord reveals Himself to you very strongly, and that through the tears of everyday and through the restless long days and nights and the loneliness of feeling abandoned and alone that He will send you spiritual gold to bless you within your walk with Him. In Jesus name.
Be encouraged, the fact that you're aware of your situation and are seeking a solution is encouraging and is probably where the Lord is leading you next. 
Persevere, persevere and persevere. The Lord will cover and bless those painful areas and when you feel like it will never end, when you feel that life could do no more than it already has, take heart. Watch the God channel, or ask for help on here or scream at the Lord. He'll be right there waiting for you and remember He'll meet you right where you are, because He died for you and He loves you so much.
