Do you allow your children to have free will?

I just had to think about this.
Christians say God gives humans free will cause he loves them so much, this means he also allows them to do really evil things.
But when you're a father and have children then would you also watch them beat up each other in the garden and not intervene cause you love them so much that you would also allow them to do evil things?
No, you would not do this. But why does God? Does God only do this cause he'll judge everybody in the end anyway?

Frederik my boy-

You are talking about two different age groups here, yet three different situations. 1- Children born and being raised by thier earthly parents and 2- adults who belong to God. 3- Unsaved people.

First of all, remember, a young child, before understands right from wrong, automatically belong to god. After understanding this, they must then make the choice.

Secondly- God does intervene many times in his children's lives when they are doing wrong, thru the Holy Spirit. That does not mean every child will always be open to the prompting to stop the sin. Keep in mind, the majority of God's children can understand the difference, but is up to them, as maturing from babes to adults in Christ, to do thier part as well.

Third- Remember something you keep forgetting- We have the "born in sin nature passed upon all flesh". We are all equally born in sin and need to work thru the battle when saved and reborn, constantly going on between the Spirit and the flesh.

fourth- Remember as well, the christian Community only makes up well less than 1/2 the population of the earth. The rest are unsaved people. so, satan is thier father anyway.

For Christians, God, even tho prods and guides us, still leaves us to do what we must for our part, to end problems, conflicts, etc. A good God guided earthly father will help thier child to understand something is wrong first, explain why and then help them to understand the better way to do something or think about it, and also be available for advice on things as they grow, learn and mature.

But, just as God does with us, a good God guided earthly father will know when it's best for thier child to experience some things that are not the most favorite experience but can learn from them, while preventing or helping to prevent other ones that would be dangerous or detrimental for the child.

For instance- You can put a child thru a similar situation, but totally controlled by you to protect them, while still teaching them what can really go wrong, if for real.

Don't forget, God knows each of hearts and minds better than we do and will do as He thinks best in all situations.

God Bless!!
