My oldest daughter is sick with congestion/cold/mild flu symptoms.
My husband has a lot of congestion in his lungs and has to work all weekend (he's a retreat coordinator and one of the groups this weekend is an "all-nighter" group).
I am fighting off feelings of worthlessness, sadness and frustration that God's not moving us forward in ministry and being stuck in such a materialistic "Christian" place. It's not like opportunities haven't been seized. It's politics and games. *ugh* There are not even churches near us that are preaching, evangelising and discipling.. mainly Catholic or social arenas. We still put ourselves out there, willing and wanting to do ministry: speaking, singing, outreach but God's just not showing us any open doors right now.
My heart is so broken for the state of Christianity today. It is so good to see others here at Anointed who are just as literal and bold and outspoken as me, but so many more - who call themselves Christians - all over the country are so complacent, arrogant, comfortable in their salvation and/or keeping God in a box. Breaks my heart and seems so futile to even try to say anything or attempt to break that downward spiral. No one wants to hear it or have their little world rocked. *sigh*

Dear Jesus I pray for MiSHa right now. Work in her life . Guide her and her husband in the directions you want them to go. I also pray that you keep her family healthy. I pray that you lift her spirits and put the excitment of you back in her heart. I pray that she is released from any doubt that she may be feeling and be replaced with faith that you are still hear and that you have a special plan for her life. I pray this in your name. Amen

Lord I pray for the healing of Misha's family. Lay your hand upon her daughter and husband and remove the flu and congestion. Lord we thank you for Misha and her desire to serve you. Lord please open doors in her families life that will allow them to have many opportunities to serve you and share your word with others. Thank you Lord for Misha's passion and give her patience as she waits on you.
In Jesus Name,
AMEN

Thank you for your prayers.
My daughter is feeling better and didn't miss any school.
My husband is still concerned about coughing so much/so hard and says he feels very weak a lot. He has been to the doctor in the past but feels he's been treated like a complainer or blown off. I've had the same experience with the same doctor and we have both only been in a couple of times so it's not like we're regulars. So... we are thinking about going to a different doctor to see if someone can give us some answers or better help. Meanwhile, please continue to pray for his health and well-being as he's not in a position to rest much, even on his days off. He's only 36 and feels about 70 (physically) most of the time.
Personally I feel like this job and its atmosphere are taking it out of him as it has taken it's toll on us in so many ways. It is killing our spirits, our hopes and our attitudes. Instead of getting better over time, it only gets harder to deal with.
Thank you also for praying for me spiritually. It is still a struggle every day, esp. as I see my family breaking apart because there isn't much support and the foundation is crumbling. I am basically the only one still fighting for Bible-based Truth, growth and moving forward. Pray that I keep enough strength and faith to live in these circumstances and not give up on any further or future ministry/outreach, too.
For you have been called to live in freedom--not freedom to satisfy your sinful nature, but freedom to serve one another in love.
-Galatians 5:13-
Don't act thoughtlessly, but try to understand what the Lord wants you to do.
-Ephesians 5:17-
We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed and broken. We are perplexed, but we don't give up and quit.
-2 Corinthians 4:8-

I will pray for you too, I know how hard things can get and how disturbing it is to try so hard to attain something that doesn't even really benefit you personally, and still get met with negativity. We live in a secular world, I ache when I think about the things going on and I know that God is pleased with your desire to tell people who He is and what He can do in their lives.
I pray for your husband, exhaustion often leads to being run down and that's when little things like a cough can take hold and turn into bigger things. I thing going to a different doctor is a great idea, a doctor should be someone who treats the patient as well as the symptoms. I also suggest going the homeopathic route...there are some good herbs out there that worked on our ancestors... might be worth a try. I just recommend research, as not everything is as it appears, but I am sure you have learned that well.
I will pray for you and your family. Blessings to you...
