Dear Athiest Guy,
Why do you think that we hate you? As Christians the main command that Christ gives us is to "Love your neighbor as yourself."
I do not hate you.
Dear Lord,
Please touch Athiest Guy, and help them to feel your hand upon their life. I bind Satan's powers against him, and ask you to open up his eyes to see Your love, your peace, your encouragement. Help him to know that there is nothing that he can to that can separate him from the love of Christ. Free him and bless him abundantly. Bring those into his life who can show him the true you.
I ask in the holy name of Jesus Christ. AMEN

Athiest guy-
You are interesting and your picture on your post presents quite a topic in itself. It states you ar our neighbors, friends, family, co-workers and you love our country as much as we do. But...
Have you read the main Principles of the Governing System the founding Fathers wrote to govern this Country? If check them to the Bible, you will find they are Biblically based.
How is it then, you could say we hate you or go against you in our governing systems by controlling, when the system developed was done so, in the best interest of people who wanted true freedom under the God of all creation, not a system where anything goes, leading to all kinds of lawless thinking and operating?
You are for same sex relationships, but have you seen the statistics of sexually transmitted diseases on an incredible rise since this form of thinking and operating started? Or even since the open sexual revolution started before that, which opened the door for that kind of thinking?
I seen several studies out just recently that show same sex relationships are actually worse for people, both psychologically as much as physiologically.
another point- You like to claim it's no one else's buisness, even tho such things must become "law" in order to be allowed, when there is a dispute. We could always say you are infringing on our rights by controlling us with this being allowed, tho it goes against our Principles.
What you need to understand is, this governing system was set up, to allow people to be able to vote for whatever they believe is right. It protects everyone as a whole, while still looking out for each individual, while still considering any decisions for indivduals having effects on the "whole".
It is called - "Checks and balances". I've seen the laws governing the "whole" get changed to work more for individuals, while also seeing those protecting individuals get changed for the betterment of the "whole".
What happens is, one or the other group looking for specific rights can get offended by an outcome. but, that was the vote of the majority for the voting on that issue.
You can be an athiest, a true child of God, etc and still see what many decisions have done that went against God, by checking statistics and find most if not all made the situation worse, for the "whole", be it in the work place, social and others.
Please don't argue any use of protection in relationships used, because it's been proven thru those same statistics, it does not work. The percentage of negative impact is way too high to say it's worth it.
I have nothing against any who want to practice such things. but they, if pay attention, are truely starting to pay the price, then expect the rest of us, thru our supporting of our Government, to help them, thru problems they brought on themselves by doing things that are against God.
Think about it my friend. what kind of life does this make for the rest of the country, to have to battle the problems brought on by going against God's nature He created in this world?
God Bless!!

Well, since we don't always know the exact gender of those on this board, there tends to be a lot of subject-verb disagreements. Thank God we don't have to be perfect spellers or grammatical scholars.
In God We Trust has been on the money LOOOOOONG before you and I ever came along. "One Nation Under God" was added in 1954, again, long before my time.
No one wants a National Religion. That's what Separation of Church and State is about. The real problem in our country is the apathetic approach of "Live and Let Live". One person's rights END where the next person's rights begin. In the same respect that people seem to be offended by anything that upholds moral discipline and decency, people like me are offended by those who feel that nudity and profanity on TV during times that children would feasibly be watching is OK. The "they're going to do it anyway" mentality has fueled the decline of families. The disposable society has thrown away the things our forefathers fought, died and worked so hard for. The uprise of those who have decided to take a stand and said,"Enough already!" is what the 'anything goes' people are scared of. For decades, since the 60s, people have chosen to do whatever feels good and people, Christians and otherwise, have decided to take back our country from the Generation X-ers, the Baby Boomers, the Yuppies, the Flower Children and the rest of the "Me-Firsts" out there.
No one's stuffing their faith down anyone's throats. It's just that we've listened to enough filth-ridden rap music, channel surfed past enough gays peddling their lifestyle on TV, seen enough pre-pubescent girls walking around half naked and middle aged men oggling over them, and frankly we're sick to death of it.
I'm a Christian. I am that pain-in-the-butt who invites you to church dinner and invites your kids to Vacation Bible School. I vote. I am your eccentric family member who insists that you hold my family's hands and pray at dinner. I am the co-worker you call a "cheese eater" because I am at work 15 minutes early. I am the one volunteering in your kids' schools because others are too busy or not interested. Oh, and by the way, I not only love America- I served my country in time of war.

Well, theres two problems you show in this latest claim that "religion" is slowly but surely overpowering America.
1- If pay close attention when reading God's Word, you'd realize His Word is a way of life, not a religion.
2- "Religion", or God's Word, as I call It, has always been, like I mentioned earlier, the central governing Principles set down for this country, by the original founding fathers of it.
3- The reason for # 2? those "Founding Fathers", sited 27 "Biblical" violations against England and the Roman Catholic Church as the reason they came to this continent to start a Country governed by True Biblically based Principles literally adhered to.
But, my question to you is, what has made you so angry with us? I ask forgiveness from you if any here have irritated you. that is not our intention. I personally would rather try to talk peaceably and maybe work something out that, at the least, leaves us on equal ground for agreeing to disagree if necessary.
I can say this tho, no True child of God with the Holy Spirit of God dwelling within them, would ever believe as you have claimed one has. I've met alot of people who call themselves christians, but who clearly show, when asked particular questions, are not.
If hadn't been for Godly doctrine being the governing guidelines for our country, you and I could never be living the freedoms we do have. Question that? Look at other nations around the globe who are not Christian and prove their citizens enjoy as much freedom as we do.
You must have some belief in how this physical world came into existance. If believe in evolution, you believe in a religion. If in re-incarnation, thats a religion. In progression, that is God's Word.
Thank you!!

I used to know people who believed that if something was in existence it was because it was the work of God. (ie: If God didn't want us to drink liquor, He wouldn't have given people hundreds of years ago the knowledge to invent it) Drinking liquor is not inherantly bad, but abusing anything whether it is food, alcohol, prescription drugs, etc, becomes a barrier to our relationship with God and in some cases actually becomes a substitute for our relationship with Him.
God commands us to be good stewards of what He provides. Whether it is our money, the natural resources, our bodies, our planet. He does not expect us to use up everything like greedy, self-indulgent beings, leaving nothing for future generations. We borrow what we have, we do not own any of it. When we die, there is not going to be a U-Haul hitched to the back of the hearse.
Religion is nothing more than a set of rules and traditions. Religion will not get you into Heaven. Nor will religion save you. Trusting in Jesus Christ and Him alone and believing that He died for you; that if you were the only person on earth, He still would have made that sacrifice for you. Knowing that if you confess your sins to God, repent (turn away) from your sins, your sins will be forgiven. Jesus' death on the Cross is sufficient for the forgiveness of your sins. Faith, not works, is what will get you into heaven. Not works, so no one can boast. On Judgement Day, it's going to be each one of us and God alone. When He asks why should He let you into the Kingdom, what will you say? Based on what? There is no Purgatory, no paying off the church and everyone saying some kind of prayer to get a person "out of Purgatory". Hell is populated with many, many good people who did all kinds of great works. Our time on this planet is very short, eternity is forever. Where will you spend eternity? Once we take our last breath, it's Game Over. It's like when the bailiff closes the courtroom door and the judge hears the closing arguements. All the evidence is before Him. It's just you and Him.
It's not a "slowly but surely overtaking". It's a taking back. We have had years of anything goes under the heading of "multiculturalism". The media has stuffed alternative lifestyles, new-age religions, sensitivity training and all sorts of decadence down our throats for so long, that when people who are done "sucking it up and driving on" (Army terminology for Deal With It) and have decided that enough is too much, all these people who've been content with doing whatever feels good are offended.

I agree to a point , but concerning alcohol, it is totally against God. Why?
1- About 98% of the Scriptures using the word wine is mis-interpreted. The actual true translation is "fruit of the vine".
2- Where Christ turned water into wine, the word "good" used, is the same definition shown in Scripture declaring christ as the "good" Sheperd. (Meaning unspoiled, untainted, pure, etc.)
3- God shares too many Scriptures warning us to avoid alcoholic beverages- as when fermenting, not to make drunken, etc, etc.
4- Some religions claim the word "ferment" is the process of purification. WRONG. It's the process of aging, in which the additives mixed with a form of alcohol, makes it fit for human consumption.
5- Alcohol for human consumption is man made, thus not found naturally, nor did God anywhere in His Word provide any recipes to man for making this substance.
6- since people can get drunk from a wif of alcohol to several bottles of it depending upon the individual, alcohol is not of God, which is why He speaks against it.
Heres the point of this whole situation. If you were to read back about the empire of Babylon, you would find, as they first developed and were growing in size, they were much more strict about thier social structure.
Once they reached a point where thought they were too big and strong to be touched by any other, they started partying and living totally loose and out of control. When this happened, the Medes and Persians, while Babylon was drunk and besotted with sexual and other perversions, snuck in by diverting the water from a water supply ditch and took them over with little, if any, fight from them.
think whats happened to our nation over the last 15-20 years for terrorist attacks. there haven't been so many, but each round of them have been more noticable and growing in severity for results of aftermath.
thus, I say, tho Mr Athiest, you may think religion is taking over America, I also agree with the fact we had lost it from before, but are now taking it back. It is time God got put back in the forefront as He had been in the beginning to bring this Nation of America back to being safe and truely free once again and get away from this out of control system of beliefs and lifestyle, to quell all the negatives that are running rampant and ruining so many lives.
