Troubling me

Hi, I just want to tell you about something that happens in some of my dreams. I have had dreams which I knew were from God, but there is a certain action that occurs in some of my dreams that makes me a little anxious. I'll be doing something in this dream, either trying to say something or just doing something else like walking, then I suddenly have something in my mouth or I get food and I start to chew it. Whatever I'm chewing, it becomes like chewing gum, as in really sticky and it grows really large, and I start to choke on it. I actually can't breathe and that's when I wake up. I've been having this action in my dreams for about more than a year now, and I know that it has a spiritual significance.
It is a little better now though, because I don't have this dream as occasionally as I used to and I don't actually choke on the food all the time and I actually swallow the stuff.
I always awake really anxious from this. Any thoughts?
Thanks & God bless you.

[Get rid of] things that are choking out the Word of God in your heart. Ask God to help you evaluate , what is the stuff ... Their is a distinction between dreams and night-mares or night occurrences. If these dreams persist, you might want to seek a counselor, pastor or professional help.
Reoccurring dreams are of a concern. Secondly, the choking and waking up is of a concern...Their is something in your life experience that is too much ...Choking: Too much too fast; hatred; obstacle that hinders; 2 Timothy 1:7 (Amplified Bible)
God did not give us a spirit of anxiety...7For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control.

Anxiety is a human viewpoint
Anxiety does not allow us to be balanced toward Gods reality and our own
Anxiety steals our Joy

Eugene Peterson rendering of Matthew 6:34.
Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don't get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.
Isaiah 55

1**, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

Thank you for that, that does help. I do know that those occurences in my dreams are not from God, because of how I feel afterwards. I am going to pray about it, for revelation of what these things are that are trying to choke out the Word of God in my heart because right now, when I think about, I have no idea. I'd be really grateful for any prayers too.
Thanks.

Dear Tafi,

Before reading PMBs' reply, I went to my bible concordance and looked up "CHOKING". The bible is a great source for so much wisdom. Luke 8:4-21 give more information on thing Jesus said could choke out the word of God.
I also wondered it other people could what you to not speak?

Last, from a physical stand point make sure you are not choking as you sleep. Sleep disorders were oxygen is loss during sleep or not that uncommon. Please consider getting a professional opinion as suggested by PMB. You can probably find a list of other symptom for a physical sheep disorder on line. One symptom is being tired during the daytime, or waking up feeling tired.
We pray that God gives you the wisdom you are searching for.
Blessings...Grace

Luke 8:14 defines the problem ...Luke 8:14 (Amplified Bible)14And as for what fell among the thorns, these are [the people] who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked and suffocated with the anxieties and cares and riches and pleasures of life, and their fruit does not ripen (come to maturity and perfection). [14] The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by life's worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature

Tafi,
Hello again!

In your dream the LORD is giving you some insight. This anxiety is not of Him - even though the dream is. (Never base a dream upon how it makes you feel...)

What you are chewing on, and what causes you to choke - is your intellect! You cannot walk, or talk, the things of God out by trying to rationally understand them.

Discern what is of God, and walk it out - even if you don't understand it! The LORD will give you plenty of room to learn, sooo don't worry about performance.

Remember to walk by faith, and not by sight! Do not struggle with the things of God - just push the "faith-button" and let them happen!

Be in peace, and have a very blessed day in the LORD!
Semper Fi!
-Bill

BTW These things are triggered by insecurities...Give that over to the LORD! And be confident in knowing you are a King's kid!
