Leaving on a Jet Plane

Hello Everyone! This is it! My beloved Peter is currently in launch! Whoops! I'm thinking about the Space Shuttle's take off yesterday! What I meant to say is that Pete is currently in lift off! Whoops! There I went again! You can see that Pete leaving for his trip has already got me a little stir crazy. His flight is taking off this very minute! His flight is scheduled for departure at 7:30 A.M.! My beloved Pete is leaving for Boise Idaho to see his sister and he will return on August 2nd, next Tuesday.

This is going to be a hard week for me. I am crying out to God to keep me sane! This is the man that God ordained for me to marry. I long and ache for the day in which we will be able to fly together, sitting right next to each other on the same flight with my head leaning against his shoulder. Its maddening to think about not having flown with him before and how lovely it would be. I hope that I will be able to stand his absence. One thing that I have to look forward to upon his return as a reward for enduring this final test is our becomming engaged on August 7th. It will be such a sweet reunion as well! He has already bought the ring for me and it is sitting in his drawer at home. Please pray that God gives me strength and peace during his time away. God Bless You All!

Hello everyone! Apparently something appears to have happned to Pete's flight. Here is what I am getting:

Depart Baltimore, MD
Date 7/27/2005
Gate D1
Scheduled 7:30 AM
Actual 7:25 AM
Status Departed
Arrive Phoenix, AZ
Date 7/27/2005
Gate B2
Scheduled 9:23 AM
Actual 12:00 PM
Status Unknown

It was supposed to have arrived a half hour ago. Now it will not be able to make it according to what they are saying until 12:00 mountain, 3:00 my time, over two hours from now! The status is unknown! I wonder what could be going on! Apparently if its true that his original flight has been held up like they said it would, he's going to miss his connecting flight to Boise which is scheduled to leave in little over a half hour! This is very peculiar! Please keep Pete in your prayers. God Bless You All!

I am pretty sure Pete got to his destination. However, he never called me yesterday. I am slapping my forehead for telling him not to call me but to just have a good time with his family. I am praying that God lays it on his heart to call me. God Bless You All!

Janet, I am sure that Pete is okay and happily enjoying his time with his family. He has a long journey with switching planes and what not. I know for myself when travelling, I am usually tired the first day so maybe he is tired as well and just needed sometime to rest and there is also the excitement of seeing his family again..............anyway, I have said all of those things to get me to this.

Janet, you need/have to be still and calm. Pete is on vacation. He has not left you, he will return. You, in the meantime, need to spend this time with your attentions focused firmly on God. Breathe and relax. Enjoy this time away from him. He is coming back.................so breathe and relax.

Thank you Nina for your awesome advice. I just need to get my feelings out. It helps me cope. I am to the best of my ability focusing on God and rooting in his love and seeking him. I did some of that last night. Of course I know he hasn't left me. I still wish to vent, since the feelings do not go away. I know that I need to count on God for strength and peace. That's what I need the prayers for. I plan to have a good time Saturday when I go to the Carribbean Dinner on the Bay. That's precisely why I planned it that way. God Bless You Sister!
