For me to grow deeper in God

Hello everyone. With Pete being away, I am reaching out for Jesus' hand like never before. I humbly acknowledge that I am not to depend on a man for happiness. I've known this since before I met Pete, and I don't wish to backslide. God gave Pete to me because he knew I was ready for a man, and I don't ever want to go back to being insecure. I have pleaded with God to never allow Pete to take his place in my heart! I know my attitude has been a little on the immature side lately, but I am being dealt with. I am wrestling with an Angel. I have been very emotionally vunerable lately. This separation from Pete is not easy, however God is using it to build my character and to further ripen my relationship with Pete. I need God's help in managing my emotions. I am currently listening to Joyce Meyer's series, where the mind goes, the man follows.

Please pray that I am able to grow deeper in God and that I am able to get more rooted and grounded in Christ. I wish for God to glorify himself in my life ina very special way. I need for God to reveal himself to me. I am asking to be able to get into a more deeper intimate relationship with him. I ask that you pray for me to get to know God for who he really is even more and for me to be able to feel and know of his love and presence. Pray that I go to a new level in God as I find him. Thank you all! God Bless!

Dear Lord, we know You desire that the cry of each Christian's heart be to ever grow deeper with Thee. Indeed You want our fellowship while, most of all, You want Your sheep to maintain these earthly bodies as Thy temples and for us to live abundantly.
We are grateful for the blessing Janet is to us here at the prayer threads, and we ask You to guide her into the desired deeper relationship with You. Please help her and Pete in any ways they need.
We thank You and make this petition in the blessed name of Jesus, Amen

KJV Revelation 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

KJV Psalm 61:1 Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. 2 From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

KJV John 10:7 ...Said Jesus,.... 9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. 10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. 11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

KJV Romans 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

KJV Colossians 1:12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: 13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: 14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: 15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: 16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: 17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

KJV 1 Corinthians 6:19 ...Your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own. 20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

KJV Romans 15:13 ...The God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

KJV Isaiah 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; 2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; 3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

KJV John 14:26 ...The Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. 27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

KJV 1 Thessalonians 1:2 We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers.

KJV Romans 1:12 ...Comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me. 16 ...Not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; 17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

STEVEN CURTIS CHAPMAN: I want to be more passionate. I want to be more fearless, more wild with reckless abandonment, to not be safe, to not try and make sure I am saying things that are safe, but simply saying, "God, I want to be Your man and I want to communicate, because time is short." I want to live with that sense with the music I make, with the art I make, with the way I love my kids, with the way I am a father and a husband and a friend and a follower of Christ, I want to live with reckless abandonment to the truth of the Gospel.

KJV Psalm 16:8 I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. 9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.

"How do you practice abandonment? You practice it daily, hourly, and by the moment. Abandonment is practiced by continually losing your own will in the will of God."
Abandonment (Chapter 6), Experiencing the Depths of Jesus Christ, by MADAME JEANNE GUYON (1648-1717)

KJV Philippians 3:7 ...What things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. 8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord....

KJV Hosea 6:3 Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.

KJV 1 Peter 5:5 ...All of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. 6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: 7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

KJV Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised 24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works. 35 Cast not away...your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. 36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. 37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. 38 Now the just shall live by faith.... 39 ...We are...of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

KJV 2 Corinthians 5:7 ...We walk by faith, not by sight.

KJV 2 Thessalonians 1:2 Grace unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 3 We are bound to thank God always for you,... because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth.

KJV 1 Peter 2:21 ...Christ...suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: 22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: 23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously: 24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

KJV Romans 4:3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. 4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. 5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. 7 ...Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. 8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

KJV Philippians 3:8 ...I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, 9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith.

KJV Matthew 4:18 And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. 19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

Have Thine Own Way, Lord
Adelaide A. Pollard
(1862-1934)

Have thine own way, Lord!
....
Thou art the potter,
I am the clay;
Mold me and make me
After Thy will,
While I am waiting,
Yielded and still.
....
Hold o'er my being
Absolute sway!
Fill with Thy Spirit
Till all shall see
Christ only, always,
Living in me.
Amen.
