I Need Prayer To Quit Smoking

Dear Anointed.net Prayer Partners,
I praise God for this beautiful day! I am here this morning to ask you all to pray for me to have the willpower to quit smoking. I am 43 years old and have been smoking for about 1 & 1/2 years. Not very long and too long for me to continue this nasty habit. I smoked some when I was a teenager and then some again later years, but never continually as an everyday stronghold. I picked up smoking when I had a lot of stressfull family situations going on in my life. I knew what I was doing and nobody made me smoke but myself. I smoke maybe 3 to 6 cigarettes a day and my craving for a cigarette gets stronger when I am upset or around other people who do smoke. Some days I don't smoke at all if I'm out of cigarettes and don't even worry about it!
My dad was a heavy smoker and died from lung disease at the age of 63 - too young to die.
My mother in law was a heavy smoker and died at the age of 53 from lung cancer.
My father in law died at the age of 63 also, he was a heavy smoker, but died from bone cancer.
My young son Chris, 18 years old, is also a smoker and has been smoking years longer than I have...I use to beg for him to quit smoking, leave the cigarettes alone son! And now I look at myself in the mirror!
I have so much to live for and want to save my lungs and health to see my beautiful grandchildren grow up to be men of God and have a successful life and family. I ask the Lord to give me the strength and desire to never want another "smoke".
Please Pray with me to stop smoking completely.

Lord God, I pray that La-Buck will see that if they are using cigarettes when they are stressed, it is based on the lack of relationship with You. When I am in STRONG relationship with You, I can fight my habits so much better. Let La-Buck be renewed in deep, loving relationship with You, Jesus, Father, Holy Spirit. Make it head over heels in love. A half-hearted love is not the answer. Lately, I see the pattern in my own life -- very little prayer time with You and falling into my bad habits. God, let La-Buck press into You with eveything possible. Open the time for them to spend with You! Show them plainly WHEN they are to spend time with You. CALL them into Your Presence DAILY. Not just a little five minute quickie but time spent communing with You (same for me, dear Lord!). Father, show them that it is YOU alone that must be what they run to when stressed. Give them a relationship with You that satisfies every desire of their heart and remove all sense of any need for cigarettes. In Jesus Name, amen.

Finding YOU in 2005

Heavenly Father, La-Buck has said he has so much to live for and he wants to enjoy watching his beautiful grandchildren grow up to be men of God and have successful lives and families. I pray you remove this addiction from him and his son and break this cycle of addiction of smoking. I pray you go to the root cause of any sickness, illness, disease and error and heal them completely in Jesus' Name I ask this. Thank you Merciful and Almighty Father for hearing and answering our prayers. Praise God Praise God Praise God. Amen.
