Has anyone felt a dramatic increase of satanic attacks in the last week?

Many Christians in my area have shared with me concerning this last week, and have told me of amazing, out of the ordinary enemy attacks on them...on their finances, their health, their peace of mind...things popping up from the past suddenly...all these and more.

I too have experienced this; A dramatic increase of attacks by satan. This might mean something very very important is on the horizon, and we are meant to be looking out for it in order to pray about it. Satan knows this, and is doing everything in his power to distract us from prayer and intercession. If he can throw up a smokescreen, he can attempt to divert us away from the necessary prayer.

I would really be grateful to hear your responses to this question, either yes or no. As an intercessor, I'm sort of 'taking the pulse' of the Body of Christ right now. I feel this is more important than some of us may know.

Yes. Especially "things popping up from the past suddenly". I was in class the other night and one of my church sisters had said something that really knocked me for a loop. I discussed this with another sister who suggested I bring it to her attention. The subject was about forgiveness and one particular area being abortion. The one sister had said something about being forgiven, but still accountable. Now I am confused because both Pastor Jerry and Pastor Todd said that if we ask God's forgiveness, then the slate is wiped clean, and yet here's this person telling me otherwise. I feel it is more her self-righteous indignation talking than Gospel.
The sister I spoke to this morning suggested I speak to the other and to ask Pastor Todd or Pastor Jerry what the deal is.
I have also been busy this week and feel I have really neglected my reading and devotionals. I have walked the dog and prayed, but I feel like there have been many distractions this week.

A spirit of division has been at work in my family. Personally I have felt squeezed, finding problems everywhere I turn. It has been unrelenting. I've had the feeling of being the target for a heat-seeking missile that no matter what I do, I can't seem to break it's lock on me.

I also work with the public, and people are especially stressed, divisive, fighting... it appears people are feeling "stretched", to the point of breaking.

I feel certain you are right about increased demonic activity, also from posts we are reading and based on societal news about the economy, politics (supreme court justices), and so on. I also understand that over 70 million baby boomers will be retiring shortly accessing the medicare and social security programs, which will be financially devastating to our economy. This doesn't take into account the probable real estate market crash either. Our economy may be positioned for a major devastation--- minus God's intervention.

Father, help us to stay diligent in prayer and help us to NOT allow the spirit of fear to enter into our hearts, knowing everything is within Your control. I pray that You will awaken the Mighty Men from their slumber. Give us the wisdom and faith to press in to You, In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Thank you Mark and Remnant...wow, your responses both hit the nail on the head! Mark, I highlighted these above comments because it came to me that RELIGIOUS SPIRITS are alive and attacking at this time.
I too, was 'attacked' by a sister in the Lord (a pastor's wife, which makes this all the more interesting) this week about something inconsequential that took place over 3 years ago. I won't give details, and I have prayed to forgive this woman, and ask blessing upon her. The Lord is helping me to do this!
It is very interesting that these things are coming 'suddenly' upon us, as if without warning.

Here's a possible take on this:
If a spirit of division is the loose right now, especially in the Body of Christ, then it is attempting to 'seek, divide and conquer"...a religious spirit fits nicely into this attack by bringing unforgiveness and wounded feelings into the fray.

just a thought. What do you all think?
