As those of you that have read my requests my husband is unemployed again. It seems as though the Lord passes us by. I told people to pray.

We are facing unemployment again. In January 15/2003 my husband was outof work for almost 15 months. Got a job in March of 2004 and worked for this place for 16 months and again !

I have bad fibromyalgia and cant work. God must be passing us by.

I am without hope and just living one day at a time and wondering what misery God will bring next.

I have personally experienced in my life that cycles repeat themselves if I haven't learned what God is wanting me to learn or if I am not growing in a certain area. Finances and health are huge areas to grow in, which are areas I am currently struggling with as well. It is my understanding of God that He is not concerned so much with our comfort as He is with our character. If there is anything I have learned and the bible teaches, it is that we all go through fiery trials and that is part of building our Christian character. It is a painful process to have to TRUST GOD when things seem to be falling apart all around us, particularly in finances and health.

A number of years ago the job market got real bad where we are. My step-dad lost his job in management and couldn't find another one right away. He has multiple degrees, but do you know what he wound up doing until another job in his field opened up? He accepted work for a moving company, loading and unloading furniture for about six months. It was very humbling for him at first to have younger, smart mouthed kids "lording it over him", just so he could be working. This was also during the hottest part of the year, which reaches upwards of 110 degrees outside! I have never felt more respect for him than I did during that time, because he could have sat around drawing unemployment checks instead of doing the right thing....working beneath his education and experience. Of course, the Lord opened up a very good job for him about six months later and he looked so good.. he had a great tan and had lost a lot of weight and was physically fit again. He was also more appreciative of people who do physical labor, which made him a better manager.

To blame all our troubles on God is not the right attitude to take. It sounds as though these are areas of your lives you try to handle on your own, but God wants you to trust him. He wants you to look to Him for instruction and direction, instead of relying on your own natural abilities. You have to turn these areas over to God with a trusting heart and thankful attitude. Attitude is key, it determines how long you stay in the desert (40 days or 40 years), depends on you.

I pray you will stop and thank God for all the blessings you do have and be thankful for them. Learn to trust God and follow Him wherever He leads you, and you will soon be praising God instead of blaming Him.
Father, have mercy on this family and reveal Your will for their lives. Bring them together in prayer, trusting You to direct them in their future together with You. Bring Christians along to stand along side them in prayer, comforting and exhorting them in the faith. I ask that Your will be done and that they will not fight You or the work of the Holy Spirit in their hearts, minds, souls and spirits. In Jesus' Name, amen.

Amen, Remnant7...I used to blame God sub-consciously for all that had happened in my life. But my attitude change and I am a such pleasant person. I refused to worry but to trust in HIM.How I made it day by day is his grace. I am believing God for this job he's provided for me.

I think Remnant covered it pretty well.

Father God,
Thank You for all of our blessings. Even when we seem to be in a drought, You are planning something. Thank You for the lessons which each trial holds. Thank You for the opportunity to prya for one another. I ask that Your Will be done in this situation and that this family draws nearer to You and holds fast to Your promisise. I pray that they learn to let go and trust You. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus' Name I Pray. Amen.
