Don't Forget Judge John Roberts Nomination Battle

Update from the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ):
Since the nomination of Judge John Roberts to the Supreme Court of the United States, the ACLJ, has been ''on guard.''
We have carefully monitored the statements coming down the media pipeline from liberal Senators and left-wing activist groups for any false claims made against this worthy candidate.
And we have quickly reported these to you.
That is why I am writing this email to you today. The ACLJ has prepared written rebuttals to two reports recently issued by Americans United for the Separation of Church and State and People For the American Way.
Both reports represent faulty attempts to discredit the record and judicial philosophy of Judge John Roberts.
Below is a brief summary of each report:
Americans United for Separation of Church and State (AU). In their report, AU is critical of Judge John Roberts's position on church/state issues. They go so far as to insinuate that the confirmation of Judge John Roberts would endanger religious liberty in America.
The fact is that Roberts understands the First Amendment and the Establishment Clause and has a record of protecting the constitutional rights of people of faith.
Furthermore, he understands that the judiciary is not the legislature - that the role of a judge is to interpret the Constitution ... not re-write it.
In reality, AU is afraid that Judge Roberts does not subscribe to its extreme secularist view that the government must avoid any recognition of the nation's religious heritage. Their report resorts to hysterical warnings that do not bear up under rational scrutiny.

People For the American Way (PFAW). The report published by People For the American Way is full of hyperbole and distortion. The thrust of the report is that confirming Judge John Roberts would ''jeopardize'' American civil liberties.
Here is just one of PFAW's outlandish claims: Roberts has a record of hostility to separation of church and state.
And the truth: Roberts criticized the Supreme Court's decision holding that a moment of silence at the beginning of the school day constitutes an ''establishment of religion.''
PFAW's 50-page report is nothing but a desperate attempt to smear one of the best-qualified nominees in the history of Supreme Court nominations. It deserves no credence from the American people or the United States Senate.

We will continue to alert and inform you of these ''last ditch'' efforts by left-wing activist groups to discredit Judge John Roberts - and help set the record straight.

If you don't already know, they're a Christian legal organization usually at the front line of Supreme Court battles for religious freedoms. Jay Sekulow, their lead legal adviser, is a born-again Christian, who is also Jewish. A brilliant, godly man, whose organization is protecting our Constitution and our religious freedoms!

Dear Lord, PLEASE let this man be confirmed. I stand in agreement for the confirmation of John G. Roberts. So few praying or seeming to even care. Is this not why we voted in George W. Bush, because of these upcoming empty places on the Supreme Court? Justice O'Conner just stepped down. How unreal is that? It's a GOD thing! Call people to pray, that America may have justices as at the first (a couple were the presidents of the American Bible League). Father, send the United States a miracle! Put Godly justices in the Supreme Court. If he is not saved, let John G. Roberts be saved! I pray that he will stand on Your Word and Your principles. I pray that he will uphold the constitution. I pray he will fight Roe Vs. Wade and stand for the religious liberty of CHRISTIANS. Father, we cry out for a miracle! In Jesus Name, we declare it done, amen!

Yes, we are all here, right now, at this time in history, "for such a time as this". We ALL need to band together to defeat this evil that is spreading across our land, in every area of our lives.
These organizations have only ONE major opponent... CHRISTIANS. That is why Christians are seen as the problem in the majority of these issues. Christians need to continue to be informed and sign petitions (ACLJ is a really good place to sign petitions about various legal battles being fought on so many fronts all over this Nation), and let our voices be heard.
Thank God for Annointed.net where Christians can come to pray together about these critical issues! Yes, Praise God!

Jesus, i hold up to You the American candidates and pour Your Blood upon them and their issues especially on abortion. Jesus forbid this to go any further. Do not let abortion be routine and abused. It is murder and it is wrong. Jesus, if a baby is unwanted it can be given a new and loving home. Look at all the examples of children that can be blessed by mothers who would love a child- i am one of them. Jesus, these children can bless women and men who would otherwise be childless. Let the American Government be Godly driven and motivated. You Lord have the power to disable and overthrow wrong discisions. I pray in Jesus name that Your power is made manifest on this important issue. Tie their hands to do no other than Gods Will. Bind them up literally, as You can and do, to submit to Your Will.
Jesus amazing things can happen when we submit to You. Also amazing things can happen to those who don't know You yet. You have the power over all, every knee does bow to the Lord and know that He is the Lord. In Jesus name. Amen
