Almighty God... we as a people have turned away from you. We have spurned your covenant and despised those that have received your promise. Awaken this nation again to righteousness. Teach us, as you spoke through Jeremiah, that righteousness comes when your judgments are revealed. Forgive the United States governement and our President and our State Department for they know not what they do. We have strong-armed Israel into compromise for false peace. Now you weep in silence that faith is not found upon the earth. Who will believe your report? Your people inhabit their inheritance but our government has seduced them out of Gaza. Forgive President Bush and our country for this sin of Balaam. Forgive us for undermining the faith of Abraham. Now we face recompense and thy jealousies are provoked. Who can stand??? Please, we beseech thee, that in the midst of wrath that thou would remember mercy. Look upon the faith of those that have received thy inheritance and have prevailed in standing in it. Bestow the prosperity and security that surrounds those that make thee their fear and encamp around about them in this national crisis. Delight to do them good. And as New Orleans recedes into shadow flush the violence and religion and witchcrafts which she stood for. Wash it all away. Lead your remnant from these floods to cities of refuge. Provide homes and new horizons for them that they have hope and not succumb to despair. Route the rebellious and reviler in the midst that have attempted to eclipse thy kindness by the pointing finger. Break the alliance of the Accuser with any political agenda. Silence the revilers and sow discord and heal this national breach in thy mercy. Scorn these scorners and let the fury of thy countenance be lifted upon the lawless ones. Contain those that would cut thy bands asunder and cast of all restraint. Send forth thy angels to prevent violence. Commission thy church to stand in all its authority. Then shall we execute righteous judgment in clothing and succouring the needy and binding princes with fetters of iron. Bestow such honor upon all those that walk in covenant with you in this hour. Please look upon the insideous spread of voodoo and curse and bind these spirits from defiling in other cities across our land. Cast down every false accusation. Protect our President from vitriol and wicked charges and appropriate the Blood of Christ upon his heart and mind. We will arise in thy authority and every word spoken against thy rule and thy people we shall condemn as it is written. Protect our nation from fracturing. Care for the displaced and hurting in their loss. Prevent the posturing of victims from inciting guilt that the Accuser would spew. Break the alliance between this Accuser and the poor and displaced that no bitterness may prevail or spread in our nation. We rely wholly on the Blood of Jesus.
