Hello everyone,

Can anyone share what they know and feel about Pastor Kim Clement's July article, "New Orleans . . . a judgment is coming, says the Spirit of the Lord?"

Thank you and God bless,

Illuminate

It's right on. God will not do any less to sin in America than he did to sin in Sodom and Gomorrah. I thought of Sodom and Gomorrah when this all happened. You see, Louisiana just struck down the anti-sodomy laws that had been on the books for 110 years. And, specific, to New Orleans is Mardi Gras. This is wickedness! I knew immediately that God was sending judgement on New Orleans/Louisiana. This is a wake up call. They need to repent and get saved in this part of the US. If you don't think that God would not do such a thing, read what Ezekiel 13 says, regarding the judgment of false prophets (of which, ministers saying homosexuality is acceptable, would be some):

False Prophets Condemned

1 The word of the LORD came to me: 2 "Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel who are now prophesying. Say to those who prophesy out of their own imagination: 'Hear the word of the LORD! 3 This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Woe to the foolish [a] prophets who follow their own spirit and have seen nothing! 4 Your prophets, O Israel, are like jackals among ruins. 5 You have not gone up to the breaks in the wall to repair it for the house of Israel so that it will stand firm in the battle on the day of the LORD. 6 Their visions are false and their divinations a lie. They say, "The LORD declares," when the LORD has not sent them; yet they expect their words to be fulfilled. 7 Have you not seen false visions and uttered lying divinations when you say, "The LORD declares," though I have not spoken?

8 " 'Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: Because of your false words and lying visions, I am against you, declares the Sovereign LORD. 9 My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and utter lying divinations. They will not belong to the council of my people or be listed in the records of the house of Israel, nor will they enter the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the Sovereign LORD.

10 " 'Because they lead my people astray, saying, "Peace," when there is no peace, and because, when a flimsy wall is built, they cover it with whitewash, 11 therefore tell those who cover it with whitewash that it is going to fall. Rain will come in torrents, and I will send hailstones hurtling down, and violent winds will burst forth. 12 When the wall collapses, will people not ask you, "Where is the whitewash you covered it with?"

13 " 'Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: In my wrath I will unleash a violent wind, and in my anger hailstones and torrents of rain will fall with destructive fury. 14 I will tear down the wall you have covered with whitewash and will level it to the ground so that its foundation will be laid bare. When it [b] falls, you will be destroyed in it; and you will know that I am the LORD. 15 So I will spend my wrath against the wall and against those who covered it with whitewash. I will say to you, "The wall is gone and so are those who whitewashed it, 16 those prophets of Israel who prophesied to Jerusalem and saw visions of peace for her when there was no peace, declares the Sovereign LORD." '

17 "Now, son of man, set your face against the daughters of your people who prophesy out of their own imagination. Prophesy against them 18 and say, 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Woe to the women who sew magic charms on all their wrists and make veils of various lengths for their heads in order to ensnare people. Will you ensnare the lives of my people but preserve your own? 19 You have profaned me among my people for a few handfuls of barley and s****s of bread. By lying to my people, who listen to lies, you have killed those who should not have died and have spared those who should not live.

20 " 'Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am against your magic charms with which you ensnare people like birds and I will tear them from your arms; I will set free the people that you ensnare like birds. 21 I will tear off your veils and save my people from your hands, and they will no longer fall prey to your power. Then you will know that I am the LORD. 22 Because you disheartened the righteous with your lies, when I had brought them no grief, and because you encouraged the wicked not to turn from their evil ways and so save their lives, 23 therefore you will no longer see false visions or practice divination. I will save my people from your hands. And then you will know that I am the LORD.' "

Finding HIM in 2005

Hello agian, I have no doubt nor question the article on the prophetic words. I merely inquired if you know anything about Kim Clement himself. He appears to be quite genuine but one can never really know.

Thank you for corresponding and God bless you,

Illuminate

PS:
I do believe God would allow such a devastating situation because from what I have heard, New Orleans was polluted with sin. However, I will continue to pray for all the resilient survivors and pray they stray away from sinning. The Lord has washed away their sins and now the have a second chance in life to better themselves and lead a more productive and holy life.

From what I have seen and heard and read about Kim Clement, he appears to be genuine and straight forward and a true prophet of God. While I don't personally care for his rapping and music, I do believe he's the real deal.

He is accepted and welcomed by most all the known prophets and pastors out there today. Those who reject him and persecute him, are usually most often those who reject all the works of the Holy Spirit and the operation of all the gifts as well, so I just dismiss them outright. They are just dull of hearing and influenced by the spirit of antichrist.

That's my two cents.

If you listen to him speak with an understanding ear you can pick out his doctrine. He seems solid to me. This particular prophecy is rather surprising to me. Kim has been widely criticized for being a "prophet" but never speaking judgment or confronting sin. Now that the Spirit has risen up in indignation through him watch his detractors even increase.

Thanks for your personal insights everyone.
As I have stated before, he seems genuine and I don't really have very much knowledge about him, but, I have as well read the comments against him. I must convey, I feel the people are quite angry and full of criticizm. Jesus was full of compassion no matter what the situation was. Jesus never judged anyone but encouraged everyone. Whether Kim is the real deal or not, I feel the people against him need to stop being so personal and bitter. Let God be the judge..."Thy shall not judge for he shall be judged at the end." I just can't comprhend why so much bitterness and feel they need to redicule him for everything. No one is perfect.

I have never heard Kim's music but already I'm not too thrilled when the mention of rap music was commented. Nevertheless, his words about God and bible scriptures seem very genuine. May the Lord continue to use him.

God bless all and thank you,

Illuminate

Remember people were are in the last days, God said he would raise prophets for our time. All people we see on TV or in Kim Clements position, we have to judge them by the Word of God. There will be many false prophets but Kim preaches the word of God and Jesus. He doesnt make fancy predictions or even act like a psychic, his style is more like Jeremiah or Isaiah the prohets in the Old testament. There are many false prophets in the chrsitian community today acting like psychics, those are easy to distinguish. We are going to see more people like KIM CLEMENTS so look out for them and hold your tongue until God has revealed the truth to you.

I'm going to be the 'odd man' out here in this thread. I fully believe in prophets for today's church...absolutely!

BUT...we have very high biblical standards to judge prophets by in the Word. They have to be always correct...always. In their flesh they can feel certain things, but when they give a word FROM God it has to be true! God cannot contain or pass along anything false...partly true...sort of true, or anything mingled with self, the flesh, or emotion.

To my knowledge, Mr. Clement has never called himself a prophet, BUT people treat him as one, and unfortunately many of his 'prophecies' have never come to pass...even the ones he has given dates/seasons to.
(So many of his prophecies are so vague, they could mean or symbolize just about anything!)
Can people who 'move in the prophetic' make mistakes and be forgiven? Absolutely! But these folks don't call themselves prophets, or let themselves be treated as such by others.
We must, in the Body of Christ, hold very high standards up for the prophets...God Himself does! If they are truly to be HIS spokespeople, then they must always be correct.

Read some of Mr. Clement's old words and test this word from me for yourself. If you think I'm being too harsh, please say so ! I can definitely take the criticism.
Yours in Christ~ Lauren

Lauren, I know this thread has been up for the longest time, however, I just read your response. No, you are not being harsh just simply expressing yourself as you should. And u are right, we should be very careful.

Many blessings,
