I want to share something with everyone that was exactly how bad luck turned into how God the Father watches over us....
I got turned down last week for my SSI. I put the reapplication in the same day. One bad luck Day. The day before 1 of our fans burnt out..another bad luck day. Friday (last) while driving to doctor office I heard a clunk under the car (thinking a rock hit it and not thinking much of it. I turned onto Portage in N Canton and was in right lane, not thinking I have to be in left lane to turn into Frank Ave. When I got to the light beside the strip, I remembered left lane and decided to speed up when the light turned green. When it did I went no where...My axle rod broke in half....another bad day (but in reality God was watching over me.)
If I had gotten in left lane and made the turn onto Frank Ave, I probably would have had to taken it at 35 mph or better and probably would have had a major car accident especially with axle rod broke. Luckily it happened where it did. I cop was 3 cars behind me and I didn't tie traffic up much. After the tow truck came & towed it to a garage at No charge(I paid them $60 on Saturday) the cop took me to the bus stop. I had to make a phone call when I got there but had no change and a vendor gave me change. Being the call was long distance to my parents, I called collect, but the operator only charge me 50 cents which I had after making change.
Then when I got on the bus, it was Sarta's free ride day (no charge) and went to catch #105 to go home. But when we got to catch the transfer, the bus driver asked me if I needed to catch 105 to go to 30th St or 106 to go to Canton Center. I opted for 106 to tell my spouse what had happened. She told me it would be there in about 10 minutes. I waited for it and when I got to Canton Center a few people offered me rides to Walmark, but I decided to walk the distance. When I got to Walmarks and told my spouse about it the boss offered to drive a ride home, but decided to take the bus. I caught 102 to get downtown and talked to a few people. Eventually I got home ok.
What I am getting at is this...No matter what God was watching over me. Those people who helped me on the way home (being I never rode the bus before) I consider angels of mercy. Also I could have been hospitalized if I had gone any further and took the turn like I usually do... Maybe though I consider it bad luck, but God turned it into good luck. Also even though I walked a lot, I was not even tired, it was like God had sent an angel to me to make sure I got home ok...
My parents & I thought the cost would be about $1500 for the repairs, but the garage only charged us $173 for all the work done and it has a lifetime guarentee for life on car. My parents paid the repairs for me. Another angel of mercy helped me...
Anyway, the car is now back with us and drives much better.
