New Movie, "The Gospel," Opens Octboer 7

There is a new movie hitting theatres (not sure how wide spread) on October 7. It is called, "The Gospel" and is a retelling of the story of the prodigal son. From what I gathered, it is about a son who had become a music star, and his Dad is a Pastor.... the older brother said something to the effect that he had been there with Dad the whole time. The producer of this movie has worked in Hollywood, and she is a Christian. This movie has Donnie McClurken (sp?), Kirk Franklin, Yoland Adams and others of that caliber in it. From waht Holly Carter, the producer said, the son is in sin when the movie opens and on the alter when the movie ends -- which is a BIG STEP for Hollywood! I saw this advertised on secular TV (during 7th Heaven), just like all movies coming out are advertised. Pray God blesses this movie greatly and that many souls are saved.

Dear Lord, I find this SO EXCITING! I pray it comes to my local theatre! Please, Lord, let many attend this movie and let many become saved! I pray Christians will go, just so Hollywood knows we WANT this kind of movie. But I pray that many unsaved go and get saved! Since it was advertised during a very popular TV show, I have great hopes that many will be exposed to the exciting trailer/clip and will want to go. Lord, it looks like an awesome movie. The people participating carry Your anointing, so I am excited to think of the impact it can have. Father God, let this movie accomplish the end which You have sent it forth for such a time as this! In Jesus Name, amen.
It has been prophecied that movie theatres are becoming the church of the 21st Century. Let it be so! In Jesus Name, amen.

[B]AMEN! May the Lord use this movie for his glory...Once I took an unsaved friend to see "Forest Gump"...I had been praying for her for years, but her heart was hardened. There was a scene in the movie where a bulldozer smashed Forrest's girlfriend's childhood home (she had been abused by her father)..As this scene unfolded, I glanced at my friend and saw the tears rolling down her cheeks. Later I asked her about this and she opened up to me and told me her father had molested her when she was a child, and the movie brought that to her remembrance..the Lord used this to soften her heart, Later she was saved.
We can not limit how God works in the lives of others.

I heard this movie was #5 at the box office the week it opened. Praise the Lord! 
Dear Lord, use this movie in mighty ways to lead people home to You! I get to see it this weekend! Lord, I pray that it is anointed and reaching many people who would not go to church. Let his movie have far reaching impact. In Jesus Name, amen.
