God's Word- A life to be lived or a religion?

Thru the years of reading, studying, researching and sharing God's Word in His Service, I am led to ask this question, how do most of God's Children view God's Word?

A- As a religious doctrine they follow every Sabbath they worship and listen to a message on?

B- A bunch of programs they do extra during the week?

C- Or- As guidelines we can follow, to find more peace to get along with others and moral values that actually teach us to follow beliefs that avoid alot of strife in our lives and relationships?

God started me in bible studies and Classes after the first 6 years or so of reading and studying His word, as it astounded me to find, His Word was actually a way of life to be lived.

In the last 500 years or so, God's Word has been started being called- religion. But, before that, it was not.

The beliefs God teaches man in His Word, are beliefs that are for living a life, minute by minute, daily. Yet man, has turned it into a religion.

The bible- God's Word, is the foundational beliefs, by which all christian
religions" follow a general doctrine. Yet, each religion, changes ever so slightly it's own particular teachings of god's Word in various aspects, to show each one is alittle different than another.

One of the major points nonbelievers have always used against Christians and christianity is the division within the "Body" over beliefs taught of God's Word. The problem?

There is only one- God's Word. But how many "religions"? Plus, per religion, the teachings of the one- "God's Word" is slightly different.

Now, we never saw this going on in the first 300 years of Christianity. It was all taught in unified teachings until the 3rd century A.D. when others started sharing different beliefs.

God shows in His Word even, He can share many different views of the same teaching thru a variety of people and still end with the same belief taught, tho shared slightly different.

But since "religions", whole other teachings with other beliefs of Scriptures have come about. Thus, instead of discussing the same end result belif, they argue over what a Scripture actually means.

And we no longer go according only to what God's Word literally says for what It means, but by some symbolized, spiritualized or figuratized version now as well.

It's time we stopped going with all these religious beliefs and go back to the same sigle unified teaching God originally started thru Christ and the Holy Spirit inspired Apostles and got awy from religious teachings.

God's word is a way of life to be lived, not a religion to belong to and attend every so often.

God Bless!!

Hello Brian,
How are you? I hope all is well. Has the cold weather hit there yet? It's suppose to be in the 90 here in Oct. We may get to swim in the lake on for my daughters birthday...It's that warm.

I love what you shared about the Bible and could not pass up the opportunity to respond. I have hear that there are libraries in heaven so we will never be bored!
Personally, I don't know that I would have ever loved to read if it were not for the Bible.
Here some of my favorite scriptures about this infallible authority, THE BIBLE:
Proverbs 30:5 Every word of God is pure: He is a shield unto them that put their trust in Him.
II Cor. 1:20 For all the promises of God in Him are yes, and in Him Amen (so be it) unto the Glory of God by us.
Mark 13:31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but My (God's) word shall not pass away.
I Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptable seed, but incorruptible, by the word of God, which lives and abides for ever.
John 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them you have eternal life: and they are they that testify of me.
BTY: Still praying and believing for your brother...and my sister named Faith.
Blessing!!!...Grace

Thanks for sharing your insights with us! I believe what you said to be very true. Wish there were more folks who realized these truths about God's Word. If they did, so many lives could be changed for the better.

God's Grace-

As usaul, God has Blessed me tremendously with another responce thru you. As for how things are going, lets just say "neutral" for now, not all the best, but definitely not bad either. God Bless and am still praying for you and your sister also!!

Rainbow788-

Thank you so much. It's nice to know others recognize where we have fallen so short now, since our earliest beginnings from God. As you stated, it would be nice to know more were understanding this, but, while in this physical state and born in sin, we can't have everything can we, at least not 'till Christ comes to call us.

God Bless!!
