I have heard that there are societies which have a different attitude towards sex. They don't see it so strictly. For example having more than 1 wifes is okay in other countries. Christians which live in these countries will also have a different attitude towards sex. And most likely they will not feel guilty as we do, when they have sex before marriage for example. Does this mean that they do not have a sensitivity towards sin in the point?
Cause it's still a sin but they do not see it as sin because they are not used to it because of their society. What do you think? Should such people still be able to know that it's not okay or is it possible that their conscience is also messed up due to their environment?

Fredrick,
Hi! well, think of this our laws and society in each country is governed by people who are not always godly. So these people shape the thoughts of society unless Jesus gets a hold of them and changes what they have been taught then they don't know any different a person is a product of their environment unless they take action to change it by seeking truth. Of course we realize truth is in God's Holy Word and the measuer of all things right and wrong. So even if society or culture says things are legal doesn't mean it is so. However, what God says is right and wrong are iron clad. We as humans look to our nations laws and guidelines when we are to follow them as long as they don't require us to do wrong by God's Laws. An example ( the US is fighting among itself whether gay marriage is right or not. Say the supreme court declares it ok does that change God's Law agianst Sodomy "NO!!!!") Does this help?

GA5966 is right. But, theres also the fact of interpretation of God's Word we must consider. There are multiple ways God's Word is interpreted, between spiritualizing, figuratizing and symbolizing.

God declares we are to take his word, line upon line, precept upon precept. That means as literally written for what It means. Thus, it depends on several factors as a whole for each situation.

As such, for those who have taken the meaning of God's Word wrong, there will be repercussions only God can decide. For, that which is against God, we will pay consequences for.

But also, as noted in past discussions, it also comes back to a difference between the severity of it, according to being intentional or out of ignorance of the Truth.

God Bless!!

Is it possible that christians from other countries are used to doing things which are a sin according to the bible and they do not feel guilty cause these things are normal where they live?

Well, lets put it this way Frederik-

There are many a Christian here who have slowly adopted more and more worldly thinking and operating. Does that mean they are now lost to God? No. But, it does mean they will lose out on treasures they could've stored up in Heaven by God for themselves, not to mention missing out on alot of Blessings because of that.

So you are right, they get so used to some things, no they do not feel guilty. And it will be God's discretion as to what each one will be convicted of to change, if anything. That is between them and God.

God Bless!!

Okay, that's what I also thought.
