Can our prayers be stopped?

In the bible is this one guy who prayed for 21 days and his answer was delayed. Can this happen today, too? Does God not directly hear our prayers? Do they have to be delivered and supposing the angel is stopped then you can forget about it?

My friend- you are speaking of Daniel, who I refered to in your other post about living in Heaven. Read in Daniel as I mentioned before to see Gabriel's explaination for being delayed in getting to Daniel.
Daniel's prayer was not delayed getting to God, but the personal visit from God's Angel, with the answer to his prayer, was delayed. If recall, God even shows how He sent Gabriel with the answer to the prayer, before Daniel was finished giving it to God.
This has nothing to do with prayers of normal operating procedure. this was a special situation apparently between God and Daniel, only God knows. Most people don't recieve answers to prayers from angels of God, but thru witnessing the results generally.

Okay.
I am also asking cause I once read a story about an ex-satanist who could operate in the spiritual realm and he said that there is something like a layer around the earth and when he left his body he could fly around and he could see the prayers of christians going up and then they either bounced off of this layer (those were the not so strong prayers) or they made it through (those were the strong prayers). This ex-satanist told this stuff to the christians after he converted. Is this biblical? Prayers which do not make it through to God?
If God is omniscient then how can he not hear them? How can a prayer not make it through?

God speaks of prayers He will not hear, but in context to the fact He says He won't answer in Truth. Why? When He hears a prayer given out of accordance with Him from His Word, He will not pay attention to it. tho it does reach Him, He just won't pay attention to it.
Why, usaully it has to do with selfish wants or other that are not beneficial to the person as God knows best for each one.

does this mean that what this ex-satanist said cannot be true?

I do not believe in what he stated about the buffer prayers bounce off of or go thru. After all, God declares He has Angels writing down every single thing we do and think.(Check out the two Books God opens on Judgement Day- one is of "Works", the other the "Book of Life".
Just another false belief by satan, to decieve God's Children. God declares He hears all our prayers, but then also states He only hears those in accordance with His Will. Thus, we can conclude, God "recieves" all prayers, but only listens to those which are inline with His will for us.
I suggest what this person saw, was an illusion of satan, to convince us many prayers don't get thru, so why try. That is a lie. All prayers are recieved by God, or at least Jesus Christ our "Intercessor", but not all are listened to by God when go against His Will for us.
God Bless!!
BTW- You stated he'd seen these visions while a satanist after seperating from his body. Well, that explains it and should tell you it's a lie of satan, only to edify his followers in thier decieved state, for satan, not God.

Yes, this is possible.
