World would be a better place

I was talking to my parents last weekend and we were discussing the long hours I perform at the total living center in Canton, Ohio by helping the poor and needy of the area and I suggested something that I believe would make the world a better place.
If every man, woman and child throughout the world gave of themselves and pulled 2 hours a month in community service to the area poor what a better place this world would be. I told this to Pastor Bartow at Total Living Center and he said that would be what it is all about.
small suggestion:
Since Thanksgiving is around the corner, how many people ever thought of working at a food kitchen for the poor a few hours serving the poor. What about Christmas?
There is no greater satisfaction in your heart to see someone in need recieving help from you and hearing them say, "May God Bless You."

That would be wonderful. To all who are in an area where one of the shelters are: I worked in the Tacoma REscue Mission twice last year as a volunteer (part of my chaplaincy/counseling course requirements) and at the crisis pregnancy center. I would have never went had it not been a requirement of my courses. But I came back with a different veiw of the homeless and hungry. I really felt like I could do something to change a life without ever even saying much to them but they were being feed. I encourage you go volunteer for a few hours it will do your heart good.
